Lol, I didn't know that. That's even more fucking priceless. Our poor that we don't prop up with other people's property have it better than the average people in several major cities in Europe. Fucking owned.

So you compare a luxury flat in Paris with a hillbilly farm?

Good going!!!

Does a trailer park have as many inhabitants as Paris?

You're going off subject. Matriel made a point that America's "poor" have it better than "average" people in several major European cities. You then seemingly related a luxury flat in Paris to the "average" category of European living and a hillbilly farm in America to the "poor" category.

So, drop the wit, clarify.

Let me rephrase is dumbfuck.

The average poor american has more living space than the average person living in New York City, San Fransisco, Miami, etc

Do you get it now?

The average poor belgian also has more living space than the average belgian living in the city.

Should have clarified that from the getgo.

To be fair, the article didn't seem to specify average person living in the metropolitan district. It just listed the city, which encompasses more than downtown.

Yeh i know :)

Anyway, such a survey or study proves nothing, it's comparing apples to oranges.

Now if they said the average poor american has more living space than the average poor european. That would have made a lot more sense and actually proof something. If they took the same standards of course.

And i think it would be quite logical that the average american has more room than the average european. Unless there are a lot more people in the USA than i expected.

Well, our population density is pretty much fucked up by the fact that we have a large amount of unused land, yet we have enough people to fill the country. We have some of the largest urban centers in the world, so that might be a reason why our population density is so high. :P

Even so, I find most "poor" people live on a small lot in a trailer park, and in the US there is a shitload of those. I, myself, live in a very rural enviroment so my living space is larger than most "poor" people. It really is just a matter of thinking ahead and PLANNING for it. That's why I'm on a computer and connected to the internet on a DSL connection. It's all a matter of making smart financial decisions that escape a good deal of the world's population.

Also, regarding the original topic, I must place a small amount of blame on FEMA, as how fucking hard is it to inspect a few models of trailers? Seriously? Whenever I buy something, I check it out at the store. I buy a woodcutting axe, I make sure the blade is what I want by careful inspection. I buy a car, I test it out before I buy it. People should TEST shit before they make a choice, and so should FEMA. Then again, what the fuck were the manufactures thinking? People are living in these things, duh. And finally, what the fuck were the PEOPLE thinking? First your location, fantastic choice, by the way. Then the fact that these trailers are temporary fucking housing units. Temporary, I don't even LIVE down there and I remember that shit. I'm on the other side of the fucking country and I knew that! Hell, common sense would tell you that.

Also,

I'm living in a bigger house than you do atm :)

Houses in europe cost a lot more than your average house in the USA as well btw.

Locations do a lot off course. But All houses are build in stone here for instance, so that's automatically an extra cost. Add to that that there is less space overall as well so the ground prices are insane all over the country.

Most youngster stay pretty long at home here in Belgium, especially sons.

So they have to lend less cash if they wanna buy a house later on ;)

A buddy of mine just bought a house. Total dump, but it has room and a nice garden. For a very cheap price of 350 000 dollar. Almost impossible to find such houses for so little money here.

This is the rural region on the province btw.

edit: btw? When do you start having kids? If i move into a house with my gf i prolly get kids pretty fast i think.

And trust me, i'll raise them as socialist hating Flemish patriots!

Yeah, I stayed at home after the Marines for a while to save up cash. It's great if you can stand your parents.

I'm actually looking at moving back soon and turning my house into a rental property to save money while building equity to buy a farm.

I love how your argument falls apart when you look at the reality of the US car market. GM, Ford, all the big names are fucking sucking right now because smaller Asian corporations are owning their faces.

That also depends where you live. Ford mustangs are pretty common in my area. Granted i own a mitsubishi, and my mother has a toyota Solora which is a Camry but cheaper. We also have to give in the idea that people are not going to buy cars based on looks and price while there is alot of favoritism based on names. Such as Ford mustang, Corvette; etc.

I still find it funny he called asian brands small. brands like Toyota, Mitsubishi, Honda or Suzuki are pretty huge.

Toyota is actually the biggest car brand of the world. And the Mitsubishi group as a whole is also larger than GM.

Globalism just makes the market smaller so other far away countries can compete better. American cars in general suck compared to asian and european cars so it's normal corps like GM and Ford make heavy losses.

But they'll adapt and will get a hold of themselves eventually.

Your comment is deceiving, if you are solely speaking of automobile manufacturing.

Mitsubishi makes eight models of automobiles.

GM, which encompasses Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Pontiac and Saturn, here in the US.

Currently Buick makes three vehicles, Cadillac makes nine vehicles, Chevrolet makes seventeen vehicles, GMC makes four vehicles, Hummer makes five vehicles, Pontiac makes nine vehicles and Saturn makes five vehicles. That's 52 vehicles. Toyota doesn't even hold a candle to that at their current line-up of 16 vehicles.

GM also happens to own interests in Daewoo, Holden, Opel, Saab and Vauxhall.

Did you know that Toyota and Suzuki once partnered with GM in a little company called GEO?

Though you did say "Mitsubishi group" you fail to also mention that Mitsubishi, like a lot of Japanese companies, also have their fingers in other things, like stereo components, televisions and according to Wiki, chemical, nuclear and heavy industry operations.

As far as automobile manufacturing goes, I don't think there is an auto group on the planet that can match GM, at least in variety if nothing else, in automobiles.

Just for the record, I own both a Mitsubishi and a Ford, so I am most assuredly not pro GM. :D

None of that changes that within Americas car market the smaller entry corporations are eclipsing the big 3. Sure, some people enjoy brand recognition and certain areas will have more of a certain kind, but when you look at the whole market, they are busting their way in with a battering ram.

Toyota is larger in quantity.

In Variety the Volkswagen, fiat and daimler group are also pretty diverse tbh.

GM for instance has only 4 global brands while the Volkswagen group has 7.

Hopefully India makes cars better than they make anything else.

Ever buy Indian furniture? It's hopelessly unlevel, mismeasured and put together as if monkey's handled it.

China will be Japan but on a much larger scale but I don't see much in the way of them exporting automobiles to here for sale unless Wal-Mart intends to sell cheaply [and I use that word in it's loosest form] made cars in the near future.
