Actually, you won't be able to leave any items on the ground, they will all disappear. Good question though!
If everybody could leave their junk on the ground, it could actually affect lag. Since there will be massive battles in Darkfall, optimizing for such things is really important.

Well that's a different issue... There will probably be storage rooms in houses, so of course you can leave hard earned loot in your house and it won't disappear.
Mind you, that's just my guess based on the pure reason.

Good guess.
If you can store items in your house is it possible to break into someone elses house and steal thier loot?

Yes, you can store things in your house, but breaking into houses was still a topic of discussion last time the devs told us anything about it, which was a while ago.

That would be cool, but at the same time suck.
On one hand, you can raid other pplz's houses and grab loot :D

Yeah but I guess the good thing about this is that there is actualy a point to being in a big strong clan. Protection of your property and goods. I read on another post that someone basicaly thought there was no real point to clans, and yet a few minutes after logging on here today and I see one.
But I guess this is going slightly away from the original question asked. My apologies. I'm new ;).

wow, how could anyone think there would be no point to clans in this game? as i see it, with the opportunity to kill anyone (and thus be killed by anyone) at all times, it would definitely be advantageous to travel in groups, and who could you trust? only your mates, and your chances of being caught alone (especially by a large group of others) would only significantly be reduced if you were a member of an active clan.

Yeah well, I agree with you :p.

me too 100% in a game like darkfall is clans nearly more important than in any other game. Still though I can see the cool thing about playing a looner.

If you meet me it won't matter though. No matter how much clans you bring to rise up against my reign of terror, I'll be the one looting corpses at the end of the day!*manic laughter*
