I want to know if it'll be possible for a single player or a small group to kill a dragon through teamwork. It's possible in other fantasy settings, of course, other fantasy settings don't got dinosaurs.

So dragons are like, the uber monsters? The ones that take groups to kill but you get lots of loot?

That celestial dragon seems.... interesting.

No throwing corn nuts at him.

First I can blame myself. I didn't knew anything about the interview of 29th august 2001...

But when I read the preview, I keep thinking Dragons aren't rare at all in Agon. Everywhere are Dragons...

I swear to God...if there is taming in this game Dragons had better not be tamable.

Grrrr...that is so not right in my opinion. Mystical, magical, and intelligent creatures should not be tamable.

They look great, as always. Though I'm a little confused as to why we continue to get renders instead of screenshots. Maybe it's just personal preference, but I think screenshots give a much better idea of what to expect from the game than renders. Or maybe I'm just being picky. Either way, it's great to see this kind of stuff and I hope next week's is even better.

as usual im very impressed and at the same time my skepticism grows. how could any dev team possibly pull off a mmorpg as perfect as they describe theirs?

I'm really hoping that celestial dragon is a super powerfull meat grinder who nobody will ever kill. If they do kill it, it should be a big huge deal that everyone would know about. And it should only die once!

Or not, it can be mediocre like most rpgs.. I really don't care as long as the game is mildly entertaining.. beats playing nothing like I am right now.

who needs justification for building a new comp?!! :D

when you have the cash it's always a good idea to pump up the old data machine.

"Serpentines are humanoid reptiles that stand approximately 170 cm tall, and are equipped with folding wings that stretch from hips to wrists. While sustained flights are beyond them, their wings allow serpentines to glide up to 200 meters from a running start, and even longer if they launch from an appropriate vantage point."

Normally when reading about games this sort of description doesn't do much for me since it usually ends up being flavor fluff. But I wonder with Darkfall's engine physics if this description is exactly how the Serpentines will function. Very cool potential here.

Everything we've seen to date would lead us to believe that lore describes EXACTLY how the devlopers intend for the in-game mechanics to work. :)

Yeah, especially if they bypass the front-line fighters and start hacking on the mages and healers!

Oh sure it does Airius, except all the stuff they change before release :)

hmmm, nice stuff again, but I would rather have the racial lore, instead of the ones of the monsters

Swamp dragon is ugly! :P

I've gotta agree though, the knight looks really nice and so do all the dragons, I especially like the Winter Dragon.

I really hope that isn't JUST the lore.....in all games there are dragons or other uber monsters/gods that only pretend to be invible creatures of doom . . . .but are really quite killable by a lvl 50 =\.

Although even fighting one of the "weaker" dragons would kick ass! Because it's FPV . . .man staring down a dragon and then . . .. whoohoo and there's mounts!!

I hope it's not possible to any player char to solo dragons and that dragons would be the monster that when player (no matter how good) see one he will run from it and possible gather large group of allies and go try kill it.

Simply amazing.. the first thing I thought after reading the descriptions was the possibility of a new clan building their city in one of the dragons "territories". Just the idea (and oh do I hope it's possible) of a dragon sweeping down upon a new settlement to lay siege to all the "new intruders" to its domain. Hehe.. better scout out your new home many times before ya set up shop.

I hope the AI is intelligent enough to actually provide the above situation. It would definately be one more awesome feature to the game. Either way.. I'm extremely excited just to know that dragons will be in the game. Dinosaurs are cool.. but dragons will always maintain a certain luster that no other mob can provide.

What can I say.. DF stirs my imagination and anticipation every time they provide a new set of pics. The descriptions they provide are damn near as entertaining as the pics.

This game is certainly getting me very excited, and this is only further evidence to back it up, I just hope they can pull through with it and don't flop like the developers did with shadowbane.
