Short Story Contest

Would anyone be interested in a short story contest? I started one a while back but lost interest and there weren't to many entries either. If people are interested I think we should start another one.

yeh, need to come up with a digestible word limit. Maybe 800-1000 words maybe

That's pretty short. I'd say 800-2000 words is a little more open, plus that's still not that big of a read. People will have a long time to write and judge anyways.

Forumfallers have very short attention spans, those better be really short stories, but I'd possibly write something up.

Here's the first contest I started. It kind of died out and people(along with myself) lost interest. I figure I could do the same but change the 10,000 word maximum to 2,500-- which I believe is the perfect number:)

Good Point. I was hoping for the last one to take off, but just not enough people entered. I'd be more than willing to start up the contest, but I want to ensure it has enough support--especially from veteran Rp'ers and Staff members. It'd be pointless to put in the effort for a four story competition.

I am sure any of the Community staff that has rper under their playstyle would help. I think I have seen it on Shaar or the guy thats begins with a U.

Would any one object to the old contest rules? Only difference would be word limit and and the dead line would changed of course. My stocks have been performing quite nicely lately, so I think I can spare the $15 dollar prize pool again too:D

Same as the old one, $10.00USD for first and 5.00USD for second. Third is also announced along with honorable mentions.

Yeah i think posting all stories in this thread will be a bit overwhelming. If there is 30 people, who is going to read all of them and still be alive to vote a winner. 2000 words each essay, thats 60,000 in total.

Dunno an alternertive butim just saying.

Plus a why wait another week, should start this weekend or something
