Nice, second interview.

I really liked this :
A group of goblins left alone for a while, will eventually set up a goblin village, and start breeding more goblins. They will start taming and breeding wolves for defenses, and hunt all small animals they can find.

This sounds really exiting, having NPC`s building up their own communities.

And of course :
players that wants to increase his fishing skills will get better by spending time fishing in a river or from his boat at sea. Fishing is my favorite example. Believe it or not we actually spent some time making fishing a interesting and viable profession.

What do I need to say, Im gonna spend my whole day fishing :D

Good conclusion to the first interview. It's exciting to get a nice stream of info like this. :)

That degree of monster/NPC interaction is amazing. That is an excellent interview, and thanks for revealing so much, Devs. September is right around the corner. Who else has their fingers crossed?

And I agree with Isha, fishing is oh-so much fun.

Haha, best dev quote EVER:

MMORPGDot: What do you personally consider the most interesting and fun skills in the game?
Trond Evanger (Darkfall Designer): I'd have to say the necromantic spells. Evil mages have been shafted in enough games already.

Hehe. Make room for another idol on the fanboi pantheon shelf ;)

The world will have a life of its own, and players will strongly influence and leave a mark on the world they inhabit.

Hmm, I love darkfall each day more

I've prolly said this before, but every time there is an interview or whatever, there is some new information of course, but every time it just strengthen my believes that DF will be THE game to play once it gets out. Will really kick some ass =)

Great inteview, WOW! I can't wait to try this game out! It seems like the Darkfall devs are really staying true to their original vision, which is what so many other game designers have failed to do. Bring on the BETA! :D

Also, I like the sound of the skills system. It's not a hard cap, but it sounds like it is a kind of liberal 'cap in effect', a system of sharply diminishing gains. People will have to specialize their characters a little bit instead of just mastering everything as quickly as possible.
