Darkfall Preview on MMORPGDOT

just noticed this on the mmorpgdot website and found it a bit odd.

Release date: Q4 2003



Now tell me if im wrong but i thought beta testing would have lasted until early 2004 atleast
does RW truly intend to release it so soon?

Perhaps just a mistake on the website's part. But then, a lot of games don't beta for that long now anyway. If the closed starts in September, that's still 4 months, and the open betas have been getting shorter and shorter recently. I remember Neocron's wasn't even a month. So maybe they do plan to release it by December..

The Q4 2003 date is an old entry in our database and actually I have no idea where that might come from... probably older information and not at all accurate. Actually we should update the release dates in our whole database... but that's a lot of work. ;)

Anyway, I don't think this preview holds anything interesting for you guys, since it merely serves as an introduction to the game for those who are not familiar with it yet. It allows me to skip the very basic questions of the interview and focus on the more in-depth (and hopefully interesting) ones.

Thanks go out to the Darkfall-team for the interview... which will be online soon. *wink*

The date of release in Q4 of 2003 is from waaaaaaaay back in 2001 or early 2002. I can remember how we thought back then: " oh my god, how will we survive till that time??" :blink:

Well, were still here and we survived, and we all are pretty sure it wont be released in this quarter... :)

....... Unless of course they have worked miracles with the pre alfa team and will do a pretty short beta phase. Well well soon know...... :P
