Henning wrote an article on the architecture of Darkfall. Check out the link to the WarCry article and the pictures that go along with it here (http://www.darkfallonline.com/news/index.php?id=21&a=full).

interview (http://df.warcry.com/scripts/news/view_news.phtml?site=7&id=8743)
i wonder, how deep can the dwarves go?
"They build their stories downwards, into the ground, leaving all their buildings with no more than one visible ground level."
Just a little question :)
and i also like this part
" Using modules ranging in size starting at 3x3x3 meters and up to 24x24x24 meters, (some even bigger than that,) we can build an almost unlimited variety of structures in our worldbuilder. For each set of modules there are different kinds of corners, straight walls, stairs, and large halls which fit perfectly together just like the Lego we played with as kids."
24x24x24 meters thats only one block, i bet you can build an entire castle for your own if you have the money and room.
btw sorry for the misleading "dev interview title"

Nice to know that so much dedication is being given to the architecture to make the experiance of traveling to different regions so unique unlike other games where it all looks the same just duplicated zones O.o *couh....DAOC...cough*.
keep up the good work

well knowing their black smithing prowess this would lead to beleive they would have alot of ore or raw materials needed so that means storage im gona take a wild guess and say few lvls underground.
also notice how they plan to make every region unique i like this idea so its not just all different zones which look the same but have diff names.....daoc....sb...
-edit sory for spam didnt know both threads were linked together

It says that the other races (gnome and all those) have buildings and such that can be destroyed. I'm wondering if they will be rebuilt? I mean what will happen to the new people joining the game after 6 months, there will be no buildings left cause players destroy all the buildings owned by the subraces...
So will the buildings just respawn, will the have to be rebuilt by the players, will the story unfold so that the buildings spawn somewhere else?

Weren`t there something, where they said that if you killed a NPC camp or whatever, they would eventually leave the place. I would really like to see small groups of NPC build up their little towns, if their town were destroyed, they would move or spawn another place.

I thought the most interesting part of the article was how each race approached the design of their buildings. I wonder if the races will reflect this in their allowed skills, and their most used resources. Like the dwarves that use a "different metal." Will the Dwarves need to create a speical alloy to make buildings? The whole house building process could be really detailed when you think about it.

I was to understand that the NPC's would have their own AI with respect to their towns being 'camped' True, the NPC's will likely leave, and move closer to the capital, where it would be 'safer' ? There was a thread about a year and a half ago, with respect to the fact that certain races might be able to dominate the world - Some people felt that this would be unfair, but in reality since the capital cities can't fall, it would be unlikely that any races would be destroyed - How does this pertain to the NPC's? Well naturally, the NPC's are going to continue to expand as far out as they can in each race - The NPC's will either expand or decline depending on how certain races hold certain lands. (I believe this is how it will work. As we all know of a game in development, people can only speculate, unless hard facts are given)
