New board software

We have upgraded the board software from the old Ikonboard software to Invision boards. Hopefully most of the old settings and posts should be here.

If you have any problems with passwords or anything else, then let us know here.

Btw. We have installed a few skins for you to play with. Have fun :)

i love it! i dont know bout anyone else, but its kinda hard to read stuff with the other skins. maybe its just my computer though.

hmm... it's sleeker, looks nicer at first glance, but to be quite honest, I think I prefer the old forums to these. Granted, if I find the "shrink this crap down to a reasonable size" button, I might like these better, but I still prefer the old ones

edit: I just found a Batman avatar, that definately makes these boards rank higher... it's just too bad I can't upload my own =(

Hi, somehow the text area seems too narrow now, that is freaking me out.

I think it would look a little nicer if you would add the side panel images from the front page (instead of the black nylon cloth look).

Quick tip. If you don't like the way the boards are squished up, simply go to your Control panel and change your skin (Click on My Controls at the top, then choose Skin and language in the left frame). I changed mine to the "Invision Power Board (snow)" skin, and I like it a lot.

Every time I see graphics with backgrounds that don't blend I wonder why M$ can't freaking support alpha channel transparencies in images. It's too bad people don't use Mozilla (Netscape) because then the images could be .PNG with transparencies.

i like the new boards. i use invisionboard for my site. this is encouraging. :)

i have to say, though, i don't like the smilies as well as the old ones.

the centered look isn't great. i like the blacks and greys, but i think the text gets a little scrunched on account of the fixed width.

I actually like these smiles better. I kind of wondered what the deal was with Ikonboard's smiley faces. I had always assumed that they were based on foreign (non-American) facial expressions. :P :ph34r: { kidding, don't flame me :blink: }

Then again... some of these are a bit goofy, too. -> :lol:

The rest of the board is great. I'm starting to get use to the new icons, although I sort of wish the icons for the messages that I have read were greyed out and the new messages colored. I'm lazy that way.

Yeah Mars, but I think Mozilla is becoming a whole lot more popular and will soon be a threat to IE. I got my whole family using it, not all computer wizards by any means, and they all think IE sucks now. Mozilla is just a lot faster, smaller, more stable, and gives the user more control.

I use Mozilla for its privacy options. You can disable popup windows by going to Edit -> Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Popup Windows and select Suppress popups. It makes viewing EzBoard pages a bit more tollerable. :ph34r:

Just wanted to mention two knwon bugs, meaning the admins are aware of their existence but there is nothing that can be done :D

- Member numbers are wrong
- Some older posts are not sorted by posting date anymore. So you might have messages all mixed up in those threads. Don't be surprised if some comments don't make too much sense :ph34r:
