Thats kool Unknewn, when the groups of them got together, they would steam roll everything. It was fun, they are a freakin riot. We had some great fights defending WSG from KOA and Might of Gods I think their name was.

Is Shadowbane considered a reputable PvP game?

Is Shadowbane considered a reputable PvP game?

Its one of the few pvp games in existence. Its not like there are a ton of non shooter pvp games floating around there. Some say SB pvp was hella easy to master and they are right for some builds but if you ever on the leading edge of creating the emphamus Melee Prelate or PvP Bard you know it wasnt always a cake walk.

So I would say its mixed its considred reputable by those players that got heavily invested in the pvp and sieging struggles. But the people that stuck to AC or DAoC (with limited pvp and limited sieging lame!!!) might not be so inclined.

With SB You had to really know how to play your character to be effective in pvp, its not one of those games where you just throw together a char and play, you need to know how to build it and play it. If they could have fixed all of the problems with it I would still be playing till DFO is released.

Eh, its playable imo.

SB was a deplorable piece of crap for a game.

AC: Darktide was the best skill based pvp mmorpg game ever. You had to aim your shots (magic/archery), there were no insta hit spells a la SB, DAoC, UO, etc. Remember, the developers for DF came from AC: DT and UO. Darktide was also totally open PvP with no safe zones.

Guess I'm one of the people who disagree :P

Hmm didnt know they came from that games dev staff thought this was there first run thorugh developing an MMO. Also have heard they have pretty much played every pvp mmo out there.

Where did you hear this?

I Agree with you on that SB when it released was a POS, but it added another level of gameplay that the previous MMOs didn't have...Building your own city and destroying someone elses. Sure AC: Darktide was the ultimate for pvp, but despite SBs programming shortcomings it was a better game at the time imho.

Mourning is kicking it right now, the Zergs are moving back to the server, hawks for example. To bad we destroyed all their cities last night befor they could leave/flee the server.

Yeah, its been free for a while now, but didn't they implement some sort of in-game advertisement?

Mourning is duped to shit....vindi at least has something of an economy.

Yeah, but it can be easily disabled if you make an effort.

Shadowbane is one of the few Open PvP games where you can practice GvG teamwork and coordination while sieging, mine fights, or attending Open ToL randomness.

Vindication's current situation is after a major bandwagon migration/consolidation after some lame servers were abandoned due to heavy zerg warfare. My guild (http://www.teamxgaming.org/index.php?option=com_clan_members&Itemid=12) will continue to work together and whoop cities in that old game until AoC BETA releases.

Can be disabled eh? I haven't started playing again cause I didn't want to put up with that crap in-game.

Yeah, Ill even PM you a walkthrough - I dont want something such as frivilous as Ads to deter your experience. I just cannot post the details or we may have to find another way to circumvent the clutter sometime sooner. I got your hook up.
