...As my earlier post was moved and I understand why, I made it seem much like a guild recruitment post, I thought I might start another.
Please understand this is in NO WAY a recruitment thread as I've not even decided to finalize the clan yet....I just want to know if all think the backstory and structure could work...if this is the wrong place for this thread...then again I apologize.
But...please can all who have the time to spare give feedback in this thread on this information: http://forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php?t=31999 .
I would try to hope that the thread in Recruitment is enough with what I ask, but I don't want to make any give additional effort in order to help me out, as you'd have to PM me to give feedback at the time. I apologize for the inconvenience and thank all in advance!

Sounds pretty cool, but the hardest part of leading isn't the initial organization- it's keeping it organized once you have a membership. Most types of organization will work if you can keep it streamlined.

Aye, I've led many clans/guilds/organizations, whatever the term may be..varying with games, and I understand the hardest part in a Clans life is always maintaining an active community. This will show itself even more here as holding a city will take much more effort than commonly does in other games (Thank God, not any old idiot can run one now). Thanks for stopping in heh and I'm not sure, I assume most clan theories could work in DFO as the world is very open...just need to know if community will be accepting of the clan theory :rolleyes: .

Backstory and structure have nothing to do if whether a clan can or cannot work. Are you asking if it will work with the game's lore?

I mean, yes, will it work with the lore and will the community accept it and therefore join in...trying to see if the idea is liked or not basically and therefore if I could rally support for it or not. As posted above I understand that "work" is a broad word and I don't mean will the lore, structure, etc. affect how well we work together in game, or if we'd own half the server...just simply finding out if the community finds it to be a good/bad structure to build a clan off of.

A website would do wonders for your clan probably :)

You might want to concentrate on somethings a bit more fundamental at this point, like a mission statement.

Thanks for the tip Markus, if i get a few more who say they think it'll work (Just praying I don't get anyone who'll tell me its got absoloutely no chance of success :p ) I intend to make it official and finish the details of the Clan including attempting to make a website, though it'll be feeble due to my lack of computer skills...I can try.
And Virta, I haven't implemented any lore yet so not sure what exactly you're talking about...unless I've forgotten something. But the link is really useful thanks, its great to have that...only recently joined the forums and began keeping up with Darkfall so hadn't seen that on Mahirim yet, it will certainly help.
Thanks all who've given replies so far and hope some more can keep comming in!

Trigon, though I may not've given how its to be run from an RP standpoint need to see if the idea will pass off in DFO, if its not accepted I can't begin to go into the methods in which the Clan will be lead, the goals for when it goes into the game, etc. And Sentinel...since there's no sad emote.....

All I see is an rp setup. I wont say the idea doesnt sound cool, but its not effective.

Thats what I was aiming for at this point, as described earlier in the thread I understand that this won't affect the manner in which a clan runs in the game. I just wanted to bring the RP ideas to the table and seeing that I've gotten a decent amount of positive feedback, will soon bring the rest of the ideas about (Need to finalize some of them).

If you want to see how other clans are listing themselves check out this thread (http://forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php?t=22717), which will send you to the unofficial Clan List Database (http://darkfallinfo.com/index.php?page=Clans).
I'd go get yourselves added over here (http://darkfallinfo.com/index.php?page=ClanForm) (this is not for beta).
I'd also suggest getting your clan a website set up, although not needed clans with websites seem a bit more organized and look more serious.
