Yay! Now we have a thread for Isometric Pixel Art (IPA)
Post here pics of your pieces, the good thing about IPA is that you can do it even in MS Paint and it still looks good (though I use PS :p)
Let's start with a simple house

Maybe you should put up a brief tutorial on how to make pixel art... I don't have any idea where to start, always thought it was neat though.

Basically there's all you need at first, though if you work in Photoshop, you can make grass easily by just adding some noise to the background grass color.
P.S. Duplicate Layers and Flip Horizontally command are your friend ;)

I've always sucked horribly at pixel art, I could never get it to look anything other than smashed flat. I always had pancake cars.

Okay they're not isometric but boy do making sprites for RPGMaker suck the life out of you.

I had forgotten about RPGMaker, has anyone ever made a genuinely good RPG on it?

Yeah The Way is good. It's episodic (move save files between them). Legion saga III was also nice but very stereotypical, A Gate Into Eternity had a cool custom battle system and nice art. The Chimera Report was very short but had a very original battle system, it was kind of like Fallout/Crono Trigger. Destiny's Call is outright funny at places and Manabat is a nice minigame collection/batman parody.
