Something Rotten In Ymennek

A PK production

Recently Pain killers were driven from their holding of Ymennek by forces led by a rogue PK member. The battle for Ymennek was intense, brother fought brother as Loyalist and Rogue armies clashed but eventually the order was given by the Loyalist commander to withdraw to the outpost of Silmiyat leaving Ymennek under the Rogue forces control. We are still unsure of the exact reason for the betrayal but we have been receiving reports of strange noises and chanting coming from within the confines of Ymennek. The loyal PK forces are preparing to retake the City, however we are heavily outnumbered.
Pain killers would like to invite all the clans and alliances of Agon to help retake the city of ymennek and once again restore order to the city and the surrounding areas. Treat ALL Pain KIllers members within the city limits as HOSTILE

Proposed Date of Event - Goes live - TBC.
Location - Ymennek and surrounding areas

Any clan or alliance wishing to drop a seige stone on ymennek should meet at 2200hrs gmt at Ymennek on Wednesday 14th December. The seige stones will all be dropped together in Silmiyat Hamlet at 2230hrs GMT, PK will accompany the seige stone carriers. Seige stones are limited to 1 per clan. If a clan has decided not to drop a seige stone, they will still be able to take part but obviously wont be able to win the main event. If a clan wishes to join the seige at a later time then this is fine, but the stone must be dropped at the arranged location in order for us to be able to protect it. Only 1 person from each clan/Alliance should come to Ymennek for the siege stone placement.

Once all stones have been dropped PK will begin taking down the walls.
The banks will be closed in PK holdings during this event

Events and prizes

POSTPONED FOR A SHORT WHILE- NEW DATE TO FOLLOW

- Whoever takes down the clan stone will be able to keep the city plus any money they received from the seige costs, PK will also give a prize to the winning clan…prize TBC, the remaining clans who have dropped a seige stone will be able to keep any money they receive as a result of the siege.

- Reward offered for the first gank of the rogue PK leader - prize TBC

- The rogue PK forces have taken a hostage who is held somewhere in the church (they will be in a clan called HOSTAGE), the hostage has been tortured and is only able to walk, whoever frees the hostage will be rewarded. When standing in front of the hostage you must send them a pm, (the first person to pm has the chance to win the reward), they will then begin to head towards the escape point which is located within the city and must be kept alive until they reach it. If the hostage is ganked at any point they will respawn and head back towards the hosatge point and the event will begin again until there is a winner.

- There is a schooner anchored outside the city which we believe is to be used in case the rogue forces need to evacuate Ymennek, the ship is lightly guarded, whoever despawns the ship will be able to keep it

- Due to the haste with which the loyal PK forces had to abandon the city they were forced to leave behind treasures, weapons and armour in the various strongboxes located around the city, these are available for plundering

Plus our information leads us to believe that the PK forces within the city are not alone.

EVENT RULES any clan/individuals found breaking these rules may be banned from any further PK events.

- Silmiyat hamlet is out of bounds, the seige stones will be dropped here and will be protected by a PK group. The seige stones are not to be damaged and the PK group within the hamlet should be left alone.

- Prior to the seige going live Ymmenak is out of bounds, due to us having to set up the events, once the seige stones are live then Ymmenak is free to be attacked.

- Their will be a dedicated event frapsing team, they will form a clan called FRAPSING an record the event, please DO NOT attack them, if they die by mistake then please rez and heal them.

We hope this will be the first of many PK run events, but we will see how this one goes first.

The above information is subject to change upto 1 day prior to the event going live, so please check back to see if anything has changed.

EVENT POSTPONED FOR A SHORT WHILE - NEW DATE WILL BE ADDED, sorry for the inconvenience

Sorry updated the info on the EU1 discussion and forgot about this one, we have had to postpone it for a while, was waiting for a responce from df events which took longer than i anticipated and when they got back to me the answer was a no for what we wanted to do, so we have had to rethink a few things.

Hopefully ill get a date up very soon, sorry for the inconvenience

I don't think AV want to support events anymore.

They have been complete shit with everything I have tried to do aside from the first community event I did, hence why I canceled my last event.

I dont believe theres a good buisness in using developing time and money on helping ingame events. . . I believe they learned from that, and it wont happen again.

It does not take developing time. It takes mods showing up for events when they should be online anyways doing their job moderating the server ;)

thats why they have GM's doing it.... Events only help promoting a game.

How you know this? Events also shows that devs can do whatever they like to in this game.... Which isent very appeling to me.

Just never seen other games with these events that devs create. It seems as a cool idea, but is it???

Im not so sure. Let the players make the events, and use ALL your time on develop content and patches for the game instead. . . It takes time to make an event. You dont just do that. . . .

The devs don't plan them, the GMs do. And if you had been to any previous events you would realise they can't have devoted more than one hours thought to any of the events.
