All of which was made and dedicated for Darkfall.
We came from a Huge list of games but Confused made our site just for Darkfall.

Who has a better clan website totally dedicated to darkfall?:)

i'm not really in competition, but he did a good job, and i wanna see what other people have. post your Addy and why its good. this board is TOO slow:)

Well, "Map's" and "FAQ's" are both wrong in your menus (should be plural, not possessive) and the site overall looks like ass. Couldn't you have found a better Joomla template to use? Try their site (http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,25306.0.html), there are hundreds of templates, plus editing your own isn't that hard if you take the time to figure out the CSS.

But the content is very good. Nice collection of info.

Nice map, though I have to agree with Rhyssa that the overall look is crap. The banner at the top needs work, looks too childish, like my little cousin made it or something.

I think "portal" guild sites always tend to feel hollow, lack character, and generally look like ass. Custom sites will always win out for me. To date, Merrin's work with Red Order has to be the most well done guild site I've seen for Darkfall.

we have TS because we can have 100 people on it at once and costs us much less then vent for a 1/4 of the amount of people.

TS works for us, and it will continue to do that:)


btw, his site does look nice, not alot to it. but very neat and simple, easy to move around and find what you want. i like it

edit number two. i'm not sure how much numbers really mean, but for the little time we have been up, we've had 35,000+ hits on our site.
compaired to most others, we are doing very well:)

Based on a content management system, mainly. A clever CSS / graphic designer can still do a lot with these systems to give them a unique look, but that's rarely done well and they tend to end up looking generic.

And Khantrah is right. Just using a default template for a CMS means your site ends up looking like it's premade. No personality. Although I initially took it being called a portal to mean that you were trying to be a DF info site, intended as a source of info rather than a clan site. Your bragging about how many hits you've gotten so far reinforced that view.

Besides, Joomla is very easy to work with, or at least I've found it to be so far. My personal site runs it and I'm in the process of converting a friends site to use it as well. He wants his site to look more like a blog so that's what I'm doing for it once everything's ready, but I'm still creating a custom template and look for him. Why use someone else's template when I can make my own?

And I agree, the Red Order site is one of my favorites. I remember when they used to be called Society of Journeymen (IIRC). I really liked that site layout as well.

i'm not sure i understand were your coming from, our site is a guild site, not an information site. look around, we dont have novels of info, new info blogs or anything like that, and never claimed to have it.

we are strictly a clan site and dedicated to one game alone. i will brag about our hits, we have alot more then clans that have been here years and claim to have 200+ active members:)

btw, if this game ever comes out, you'll be seeing alot of names that you remember from AC in ATS. alot:)
