I will be running a book on the tournament in conjunction with Miia Mercator and here are the odds on the declared 10 competitors to date:

Just to clarify, my involvement in this is only that I've agreed to keep the gold for people who doesn't trust Ginger, and to confirm to Ginger that I have them, i.e. a middleman-ish service.

I have nothing to do with the setting of odds or the tournament itself.

I also cannot guarantee that Ginger pays for the bets he's lost (GM: PM me if you want to give me some gold up-front in case people are too concerned about this to place bets).

If someone wants me to hold their wager, I will need a confirmation of the odds of the bet from both parties (GM and whoever's betting), and when the tournament's over I will give them to whoever is appropriate.

I will not be runestone-ing around for free for this, but I can travel short distances if I happen to be near you.

With those disclaimers in place, I'm glad to see someone finally making a proper tournament with betting in this sandbox. Good luck to all involved! ;)

You get your stake money back plus the winnings so yes you got it right.
Kapteeni is obviously the odds on favourite which means that the amount you wager is more than the amount you can win if he wins the event but you will always get your stake money back plus the winnings on any sucessful bet. My odds are even money meaning you will get back exactly what you wager in winnings plus your stake money and the rest of the field is odds against meaning the potential winnings are more than the intial wager amount.

Depends on what the particpant or better wants but I will put all monies with miia most likely.
And no she is not guaranteeing bets.
If a bet is too large for me to cover then I have the option to refuse it ofc.
