Fight Infi delity for the spot and my warhulk blew up during the fight because mobs destroyed it

then I laid down a nexus exit and brought in Lothen Spark w/battlespikes and we kicked the next to strong boxes's ass.

and then load lag and Booty Trap came and him and Lothen both died and I recalled back.

Just because you didn't take the time to research and prepare doesn't mean it was a waste of an event. If you clearly looked at the EU-1 event you would have been able to see that there was a chance of boxes being spawned on some remote island where you could have marked stones in preperation. That is what I did, and guess what the boxes were there and I brought a warhulk and a nexus set and the warhulk blew up. Great event.

Why didn't the devs even randomize the pictures?

The pictures are ordered in a clockwise circle of the map

Good event, I had fun even though it was a bit short. Looking forward to the next part in the series. Maybe release 1 box location every 15 minutes next time? That would stimulate more PvP and make the event longer at the same time :)

This sounds like an improvement. Doesnt have to be a demon or dragon at every box, but some high mob would be nice.

2 people can do it.......

events that are active done by GMs need to be epic big clan/group sized in content

solo player content is better done with automated quests (just add a few new quests each month to feed them)

Positioned myself in orclands to hope to get one there and found myself right near it. 30 second ride and I am hitting it. 20 seconds later, 4 dudes in infernal arrive and slaughter me.

I was fast, but short of logging out right on the location, a solo player doesnt stand a chance at these events.

Something that takes thought to complete would be nice for a change.

Having high-end mobs occupy the areas is preposterous on so many levels, first of all-- because of the solo ambition of some players it could eliminate them right away from the activities, also it's spawning lore in inappropriate areas. I can tell you from first hand experience that the 'Bone crew' were difficult enough, as they destroyed my Spider scarab. You know when being involved in one of these events that you're at a very large disadvantage at claiming a prize, especially when solo-- but my attempt proved victorious and I even had to fight two players to make it work, and also I spawned a Nexus so my friend could come to the 'island' where the strong boxes were located as well. I poured plenty of resources, and research into the event.

So basically you had better luck than me, since you runed in and got a 1v1, whereas I was right there when it went live and got a 1v4. In the time it would have taken you to rune to where I was, I woulda busted the box and been long gone, except for the enemies that were there with me.

I am not upset I lost or didnt get any loot, all is fair in love and Darkfall. I am more bothered by the fact that the entire event lasted less than 60 seconds for me, from thread posted to me loading back to the bindstone. With just a little more thought put into it, events could consist of more than just "race directly to point x with as many people as you can muster", but I shouldn't desire what I consider to be better mechanics, because that would just be bitching and moaning...right?

Fair enough, and good reply even despite me being a troll/asshole in reply to you. It's just the luck of the draw I guess, imagine -- if there were no box where you anticipated there being one, then what? The event didn't last very long for me, and as soon as I logged out another player had entered the area, too. Killed my partner, and then the hostile player entering the area died to the mobs. It was in a more remote location than was your strong box.

Anyways, I thought it was a success, perhaps your luck wasn't on your side that time and not everyone is going to get loot. I'm surprised I did.

Leave it to Aventurine and the Event Organizer to make an event where only a few have fun, and fewer than few get loot, and fewer than fewer than few get good loot. And then 1 person talks about it in the forum with one of the losers... (You're not a LOSER per se walking target, but you lost). Darkfall. Gotta love it.
