Heru amin,
Long has it been since I have written to you concerning the political climate in Charybdis. It brings me joy to tell you that things have changed in our favor! The newly crowned Aran is but a child. He could be easily manipulated, but I would suggest replacing him when it is time to execute our plans. The parliament is as oblivious as ever, and the Council of Eight is too busy looking for rebellions in the wrong places! If only they knew what awaits them.
As you now know, the Aran, and the Grand Council are weak and complacent. The Council of Eight, while distracted, still represents our greatest opposition. I would suggest stirring up dissent towards the Inquisitors of State, and criticizing the Council's methods. I would also suggest more frequent raids into Denwode and Nagast: Win the people, and the parliament will be powerless to stop us. We must awe the people of Mirendil with glorious victory over our hated enemies. We will show The Republic how the Parliament has descended into decadence and apathy. We will show them that a firm hand is needed to guide Mirendil into the future. The parliament will fall, and in its place an Aran will rise at the head of a new order, an Empire that will shake the foundations of Agon!
May the stars guide your steps Heru amin.
