I remember reading a while back that ati cards didn't work as well as they should in Darkfall.

I had an nvidia card back then but after looking at the prices of the ATI cards I'm thinking of putting one in my new computer.

Do they still have problems?

Using a HD5850 and got no problems.

Thanks!

I've been an nvidia guy ever since conan had an issue with ATI cards!

Found a 5670 for 89.99 (69.99 after rebate) Is that a good deal?

There are some shadow issues with ati cards, though very few people actually use shadows.
The problem doesn't appear with all the cards though, so it's a hit or miss.

Better to find a deal on a 5750 or 5770. I pull 120-200fps with a 5750 after overclocking to 870mhz, tweaking gfx settings, etc.

Thanks! Like the name.

I've been wanting to get back into gaming ever since I moved for college!
I'm kinda glad I didn't bring my old computer, IIRC I had an 8800gts :lmao:

I have always had good performance in sieges and large fights and I've been running an ATI 4850, then 1x5770 followed by 2x5770 in crossfire. Some people do say that ATI doesn't work as well for DF as nvidia but I have yet to see any evidence to prove it so I can only draw on my own experience which seems to show that ATI does fine.
