If there is large scale GoD turnies, yes.

Otherwise, 1v1, no imo

Nope.

I won't vote because I'm not attending but I think it's a good idea and agree with Umberto by pointing this out. Even though it's something that is part in the game it requires more skill to play without it. And I'm always possitive about increasing the skill that has to be used in a game.

A good player doesn't get stuck in WoF's, I think it actually brings more skill to the table on a 1v1 basis, but sucks when you're outnumbered or in large scale fights.

Voted yes.

a player is always trying to dodge rays in a 1v1, when you're always trying to dodge you can get stuck in a wof pretty easy, regardless of your player skill.

WoF is part of the game.

The only restrictions should be around gear/enchant quality.

Even the mount restriction is unnecessary IMO. Mounts HP sucks now, damage is reduced, and u can't carry that many.

If you are going to ban WoF you might as well ban confusion and eye rot.

What in the fuck? It's a part of the game, of course it should be included. If you get in a WoF, fucking parry. If they disabling shot, stormblast out.

Both players have the spell, it's not like you're going to get ray'd by 8 people when you get WoF'd in a 1v1.

You know he isn't casting a ray if you can hear a spell being charged.

Edit: The arcane noise is pretty distinct. Of course it could be a # of spells, but it's a trigger to know that WoF might be coming.

I'm fine with whatevers decided, I just don't think a spell that's part of the game should be removed, especially one that brings a lot more thinking and tactics to the table.

Putting restrictions on fights is just someone's way of trying to get you to play their game. They should be allowed (imo just like everything else in the game) unless you're trying to cater to one person or their playstyle for some reason...

Lol if it takes you longer to realise he's casting wof or, for that matter, NOT a ray, than it actually takes to cast wof then... you have some problem.

I'm not on the whatever so didn't vote but as someone said, getting caught on a wof 1v1 is pretty noob.

This tournament should reflect the current state of the game. WoF is part of that.

Current state of the game but...

WoF just dumbs down 1v1's, and will make for a pretty boring video if all we see is WoF spam.

It's ok though, if we're playing the "current state of the game" card, I guess we should all pre surge our spells right? Cause a lot of players actually take the time to do that before going pvping...lol

I didn't sign up for the tournament due to not wanting to commit the time, but I agree with Umberto on this one: WoF dumbs down 1v1's (And the game) and makes it ALOT easier to land damage and debuffs on the enemy. If anyone disagrees with this, they clearly enjoy blowing people up that are stuck in place and think that it takes more skill than not having it in the game.

Gear level represents wealth, and there are different tiers for that.

Unless they want different tiers to also represent character development, I see no reason to restrict skills.

I caught you fairly good two times today.. or three >_>

It's like Jonah said when you're running, dodging and transfering you can more easily get caught and it worked on you.

I would personally leave it in though. Spell Reflect is already restricted from most fights and adding more and more spells on a restricted list is not how I think fighting in tournaments/duels should go.

Well Dragon armor and q5 enchants is part of the game but many tournaments ban stuff they dont like.

@ the thread - My personal opinion would be to ban wof just more fun without it.

also if you are fighting someone using virtous wraith it can be really hard to know when a wof is coming.
