not really patch related but fix the spawn that randomly stop spawning(sometimes entire dungeons).

If your game closes while in a portal you log in at your bind stone instead of the portal entrance of the dungeon.
Sometimes Recalling, Entering and exiting portals, all the items in your bags vanish.

Since you were fixing the kill/rezz related problems - Please fix the character graphics reset in case of a decap.
aka if someone gets decap'd - they go bald and wolves go to white/grey default.

so far:

- Replacing a Bloodcraft item with a non-bloodcraft still shows the bloodcraft graphic on your character

- the SCREAMS, MAKE THEM STOP THE SCREAMS (guard tower hits)

- Speed Mount/Bear can be come hithered/begoned/stormblasted.

Here is one: characters 'scream' everytime they are hit by a guard tower every two seconds when raiding cities/hamlets. So very annoying + a determent to raiding. This better be a bug, please fix, if not, please hotfix back out!

this has been in the game since release and has happend to me about 20 times. When i have red alignment and am kicked off of a player bindstone, i am reverted back to starter cities and am killed. I have lost on estimate 20k worth of stuff over the months :bang:. Reported to gms every time yet nothing....

Logged into my alt and I see a permanently white screen, all the chat tabs are empty(including the headings), and when I mouse over things the information is all gone.

1) House vault is not keeping persistence again and gets scrambled every time you log.

2) If you die with a transmuted weapon, and get revived, that weapon will not deal elemental damage until it is unequipped and reequipped. Apparently with Sitharas it deals no damage (since it has no physical damage) after you are revived and I heard you can level Sitharas without the weapon losing durability.

3) Enemies appear in system chat as Light Blue. Why not red?

switching any two hand weapon in and out of fight mode displays both old and newer animations via 3rd person view.

ai server down all over the place. to be a bit more specific i would say every other tile in alfar area. specifically around dun amshura and surrounding area.
every where i went near yassam was down a few areas around darkmore was down most of the weekend.

virtual memory crashes almost every 5 hrs of play time.
seems to be a bad memory leak in the loading screen and after gank loading screen. 3 ganks in a row = game crashes i have 4 gigs of mem and win 7 cyclone n460 vid card.

still lots of popping noises in the audio. mostly when riding on a mount or multi sounds at once.

Mobs spawns broken. This is a HUGE problem in starter areas because it puts off new players and they just don't buy the game.

The other day I did three keens for someone. I put them in my bank, logged of, logged on, and then gave them back to him. At some point in that process, the axes lost the keens (all three were full q4).

blue is counterintuitive...

my suggestion is to make the system message red and make the GM pages some other color like maybe neon orange or something.

My monsters spawns are still down in the Kaerdan dungeon and have been since the patch.

Black-Night spawn in Alfar lands near Niasha is still bugged, has been since the LAST patch.

I experienced a weird bug yesterday where I would enter or exit a portal dungeon, the loading screen would not appear or appear very briefly and I had a view of where I would spawn when I entered/exited the dungeon. I could not move or see/access any menus but I could move the camera around freely. After the normal loading process was done, I heard the usual sound and was then able to continue playing normally.

your right but they are still red when they page you.
I am not saying its the way it should be or not just saying thats more the of the reason why it is the way it is.

when you page a gm its in the normal chat Chanel tab and the text is green. when your considered afk or something like that they can use several ways to get your attention even if they have to use the large text on your main screen. and its always red text.

This is probably the oldest and worst bug out of them all.

Why the fuck does darkfall have to use internet explorer to open bank, trade, clan tab or journal?

No wonder load lag is an issue. If the shitty darkfall fail code has trouble loading 1 player into your zone, then I can see why it has trouble loading some 2d shapes.

Get rid of load lag.

The folks in system show up blue, because... they are blue.

Positive alignment, you know?

The reds who hit system show up as a light pink.

Mounts, however, show up white like everything else.

I've been noticing a MUCH higher rate of fizzles on spells. It doesn't matter what I'm wearing, or what my encumbrance is, I'm now fizzling 1/10 spells.

I think the whole system around fizzles needs to be reworked. I'm fine with having them in the game, but the reason for them happening remains a mystery. How does encumbrance effect spell success? How does spell success effect spell success? What the hell is spell success? Fire magic, infliction damage, slashing damage, all of these have a number that corresponds to how much you have in protections, why can't stuff like spell success?

Not sure if this is a game bug or some function of my router that I can't find. But ever since the patch my ping spikes up to 16k, hovers there for a few seconds and then either drops back down to the normal 80-90ping or it drops me. I have played with the same router settings since launch and haven't had the issue and have played other online games for hours and never had a ping issue the entire time, but ever since the patch I can't go 30 minutes without one of these ping spikes.

you mean getting stuck in casting mode and being unable to cast any other spell or switch weaps?

only way to get rid of that bug is to cast the same spell you were loading when the bug occurred.

It would appear that a bug was introduced in crafting Silverbranches which makes them insanely expensive to the point where only prepatch ones will ever be used, and rarely at that. It also completely fucks the one thing a destroyer has to take on a mage with.

Way to completely fuck over destroyers/nonmages AV.

Its become standard in sieges for the boss (aka Chohag) to go.. everyone got runestone, make sure you put everything in the inventory so you don't suffer the bag-bug, 1 ..2 ...3 ..4 go!

Yeah, somehow, if you been wearing bloodcrafting gear and dies. Even when naked - there are the 'red-arc' graphic as if you are still wearing bloodcrafted item.

bug: if a player gets kicked from a clan while being bound at one of its cities, he cant rebind at another bindstone until an SG of his former clan kicks him off the city/hamlet stone. Happened to my alt

Guys, I'm really new to darkfall, but reading the blog:

As far as the newbie experience goes, we’re going to help that along quite a bit with a total approach to character progression, an example of some of the actions we’ll be taking is increasing drop rate and frequency of attribute consumables and spell books.
Too new to comment, but sounds good...

We discussed the new GUI, an exciting development, which unfortunately we cannot discuss at the moment. (Please add custom groups of people that you don't have to have on your friends list and make it possible to talk to all of them at once. Like in Meridian 59! Also, allow custom tabs where you can put whatever channels you select (like with checkboxes).) E.g. Alliance + Race in one window, etc. Put a little drop-down box before the input field, where you would choose to which of these channels you chat to by default in that tab.
Oh, and have a look at Shadowbane's UI, where you could drag the skills and spells around and put them *anywhere* on your window. Not in a box, every skill is draggable by itself and can become a UI element.

The designers are undertaking the massive task of redesigning the newbie experience and working on a total monster classification, redistribution and localization based on the lore.

Now, if it would be possible to, say, use the meditation system for newbies, it would be great as well. Like, have the mobs and quests award you meditation points that you could then use to raise other stats (like running i.e.). That way, the more monsters you kill and the more quests you do, the more meditation points you get. And there's no gold involved, so it actually favors newbies as well. Currently, the meditation system is not going to be useful to me, as I simply have no way of getting so much money.

The quests are great. Really. At least in the beginning, they really make sense as a newbie and are followable. They also allow you to get to know the game in an involving way. I know that having those quests actually change the game-world as it would be possible in a single-player mmorpg is too much to ask, but there might be some ingenious solution to letting that happen as well, this would let even players new to MMOs enjoy the game in a familiar fashion and let them transition to PvP at their convenience.
An example would be to allow newbies to have an impact on the front-lines (even if minimal), e.g. they complete a series of quests, and supply-boxes or defense-towers appear in hot-zones for the newbie's faction. But for that, we would need dynamic hot-zones as well.

Make it less rewarding for vets to attack newbies. Possible, but with no rewards at all for instance. Apply some method to have a dynamic check of whether a person with all max skills can loot a newbie's corpse. Of course, the corpse should be lootable, if the newbie attacks first. E.g. have the same check applied in reverse, and make the newbies name-color gray or so.
Maybe the check can be on any interaction with a vet. E.g. if a new player gives something to a vet, who is fighting with another vet 2 minutes later, or heals him or anything similar, the name becomes gray as well. That way, this system would be less abused for pack-mules/healing drones/etc., even though it worked quite well, eventually, in Meridian 59. There you would usually not able to attack someone below 30 hp.
Now, who is a vet? I believe, you can get a good index, if you use the average of all stat-points, as they seem to increase the slowest.

The problem is that vets should be busy doing other things and not have time for killing new players. Even RPKs should be more tempted to attack someone their own "level".
I.e. When you're guilded and you are fighting over territory (that brings benefits like resources, etc.), because if you don't fight over territory, you will eventually loose to the other guild as they will have more resources and options to destroy your city. Make constant hot-zone-choke points, like in the FPS shooters where you need to hold so many bases to increase your frags/team-score, except that here you would get resources necessary for something else, not frags.
The lone PKs would be constantly interfering with those choke points, to get resources for themselves, to get better gear or whatever, and not have time to go for newbies, even if they are twinked, as well, because -say- in one hour of choke-point-action, one could get 10 times more than from (even a twinked) noob that is only bashing monsters to skill up.

Some more thoughts from a newbie:
I like(d) Meridian's way of handling alignment changes, where all blue players would elect a judge that would could /forgive a PK and turn him blue again.

Also, there should be stealth!

I'm missing a place, where I can go AFK, when I *really* need to. Make a zone, where you can not cast or do anything other than talk and call it a safe-zone.

Factions: allow controlled zones to influence an overall bonus to the race/alliance. E.g. "Because of the large amount of controlled areas, you receive a bonus to STA-recovery," or something.

Implement a /who all! I wanna know who I'm playing with!!!

All in all, until now, I like this game a lot!

no offense, but you are describing wow 2.0 in a darkfall engine.

Give the game more than a week before coming up with new fandangled ideas that change the entire face of the game.

My pc turns into sleep mode at random times. Just happens while playing DF

weird. check your "energy saving" settings in your OS.

((i hardly think thats a "bug" connected with the recent patch))

Lots of random "load" lag spikes again... Can't even play properly now... Today it made me fall down the apautan elevator into 10 enemies :<
