I speak to you in this darkest hour both addressing you in an attempt to clarify and a plea for help. Foggens shadow is soon to fall upon us all, consuming all of Agon under his greedy claws and I fear. I fear not foggen nor do I fear Frank or any of their countless, brainwashed, minions. No, I fear the end of Agon. I fear for you. This is why I am addressing all of you.

2 days ago I spoke to a member of one the countless „neutral“ guilds on this server. When I asked him „Why don't you fight?“ he answered „This war is just relevant for those involved in it and the politics.“ I was set aback and pondered a moment about the right answer to his claims. Then it dawned upon me: Many of us do not even know what is at stake. Allow me to explain.
The fierce ANG, the mighty DPS, the strong Pick up the Soap and my very own Pandora laid their past differences aside to gather under one single banner to confront the evil of this world that has befouled it and purge it from this world once and for all.
Our mutual strife against what is killing this world let us to this place in time, where only flicker of hope remains.
I bet you asked yourself already „Why does this wonderful game is lacking so dearly in players?“
Some of you may argue that Aventurine's execution is foul from it's very groundwork. Others may say it's just that The Creators are very lazy or don't communicate enough. And finally some may claim it's the grind and just the grind that is setting this game back. They're all right.
However, what is clear, is that there exist some players in this world whose presence doesn't better the game but play a major role in it's downfall, besides the failures of Aventurine.
Both foggen and Frank impersonate everything that is wrong with Darkfall. They are the prime reasons for the grind to take such ridiuclous impact on this game as it has now. They are the reason countless of duped currency and material ruined the then budding economy. They are the reason Aventurine had to spend countless of hours to work against their very own failures, because foggen and Frank and his minions exploited the game whereever they went, whenever it was possible.
So when you ask „Why is this game in such a bad shape?“ you have a finger to point to. When you ask „Where the fuck is everyone?“ you have a finger to point to. When you ask „Why is the community so bad, why is there so much lies and propaganda and bullshit on the forums?“ you have a finger to point to. Point them at foggen. Point them at frank. Because these are the people destroying your Agon!
Now you may understand why we rose up to fight Z5, SUN and the countless appendadges not worth being named. Because we feared that they running the place might destroy this world before it could root in it's place properly. Our war is about building a better tomorrow.
I will not lie to you. The current situation is grim. ZerSUN outnumbers our heroic soldiers in the field 5:1, both in numbers as in character skill difference. Additionally petty fights in our own ranks, caused by the diminishing morale after each lost battle are causing our brave soldiers to turn onto each other, instead of focusing their anger and hatred on our mutual enemy. The eternal night is at hand.

§2: A plea for help

This is why I call all of Agons citizens that have not yet been contaminated by foggens foul grasp to take up arms and fight!
I call out every guild and alliance that has stayed „neutral“ up to now to rally their warriors and fight with us! Make no mistake! Once we are perished, foggen will turn his evil claws upon you and mercilessly take everything from you. Your loot, your fun, your self-respect!
I call out every new player, be he 1 day or 1 month old, be he unclanned or not, to pick up his sword and fight!
Fight not for your loot. fight not for mines or holdings. Fight for your survival! Fight for Agon! Fight for your freedom!
And let it ring from every mountain and let it ring from every sea: That we stand united against the evil that is upon us! That we fight till the morning sun warmths our skin again! That we fight for a right to live!
And even if we might lose this day, we lose knowing that we stood against the evil as long as we could! That we fought for our game to survive!
And maybe, The Creators themselves will see and right the wrong and lead us to a better future!
And when the last server is shut down, many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance... just ONE chance, to come back here, and tell our enemies that they may take our loot, but they'll never take... our FREEDOM!
§3: Why the fuck is this in Player Events?

Many of you may ask yourself now why I posted this in the Player Events forum?
Because it doesn't just concerns us anymore but ALL OF YOU!
This is NOT about mines or holdings! This is about YOUR FREEDOM!
So I call every guild and every player that is willing to pick up the fight against The Evil to come to Kolesh and stand with us as brothers!
Every player from every newbie area that joins us is not only welcome but a hero in his own right!

If you cannot afford weapons because you're too poor or too new, I personally see to it that you will receive appropriate weapons to fight the darkness with.
Show them that this coming days will not mark the end of Agon! Show them that they have the true server against them! Show them our strength combined!
AND EVEN IF WE LOSE, THEY WILL KNOW THAT THEY ARE NOT WELCOME! THAT THEY ARE THE SCUM OF THE SERVER, THE BUG IN THE CODE, THE silence that remains in an empty game.
§4: Spread the word!

So if you come past someone who hasn't taken up arms yet, ask them „Why don't you fight?“
If you meet them at your daily mining tour, ask them „Why don't you fight?“.
If you gank them, ask them „Why don't you fight?“.
Spread the word into every corner of Agon, bring your friends and your friends friends to our mutual struggle against evil and darkness, so that we have the chance for a better future!
If you're the member of a guild not involved in this war yet, ask your superiors, why they still frighten from opposing the evil directly!
Because today is not the day to show fear! Today is not the day to crawl back into the ostensible security of your cities walls!
Today is the day to pick up a sword! To pick up a staff! To pick up a bow! And fight!

Wether there is blind luck or damn fool courage, in all my years,
I have never seen anything like what we bunch o' jokers have pulled off.

Is that we can count on each other to get the job done.
