I like it. It has alot of character. Not stand alone imo, but it would make a perfect backdrop for a model.

The Museum of Modern Art has far worse paintings than this. I cite "Blue" (I forget the artist's name) which is a plain rectangular dark blue canvas.

I believe that artist is Kandinski, though blue, its several progressive layers of blue. The guy was huge in the 50s and 60s when abstaract art was hitting a new high and post-modernism was starting its run of confusion . On a personal note I like Kandinski's stuff. Thats another story though.

Mostly I see modren-art as the emperors' new clothes. Some of them seem like an excuse to not put forth effort imo. Some of it can be interesting. The ones I appreciate I see as successful experimentation with visual phenomenon, while purposely avoiding recognizable content.

I think Metal's peice looks like a topographical map thats been posterised and if you look carefully there seems to be an image in the alpha channel, transparent to appear to blend with the background . Looks like a WoW orc or sumthin.
Creating art whilst pickled yields interesting resullts. I remember helping a freind polish off a term project ( 6ft x 4ft) after spending several hours in hand to hand combat with a lot of beer. He got a B+ for it .

He does if you made your own sig kehmesis :) .
As the others said, nice backdrop!
Kandinsky was more of random shapes, like cresent moons and lines interspersed (sp?) among a background.

I sobered up and fixed some things, mostly the ability to make sence of it. Beer + fillters = mess. Grunge goodness.

I put the first one as my background and I am starting to like it more and more. I'll try out the new one some time in the future.
