They were DHW on EU, someone on NA stole their name pre-transfer so they came to NA as fataLity, then they reformed as DHW except without a "the" in the beginning.

It worked out fine, because when we drop system, it says "the Desperate Housewives," instead of "the The Desperate Housewives."

I personally think you guys should run it again, because it could become an interesting challenge to crash it once more. You will obviously want to beef up your security a bit, here are a few things I would suggest.

- Increase the entrance fee to 4k, half for the pot, half to cover portal shards (I would not reveal this until the absolute latest moment possible). Have all contestants meet at one of your holdings. Then, using your extensive portal network choose a location for everyone to port to at the absolute latest moment possible. Even if there are spies in the contest this will make it much harder for any attackers who may already be in the area to get to the new location.

- Set a perimeter around the dueling location of at least 500 meters. One of our members did go rouge and he was spotted by Northern Kings, but from the sounds of it there was a 10 man group of them all riding right next to eachother. If their goal is intel, then they should be spread out to cover more ground.

- Require everyone in the event to join a vent channel dedicated to the event itself, this will provide a way to keep in close contact with all the contestants and give them a heads up if shit is about to hit the fan.

- Choose a location that is not boxed in, it was a slaughter house down there.

Events like this can happen, it just requires more careful planning. What makes this game so awesome is the fact that we can do things like crash that event. It's up to you to prepare for what could happen, and you didn't prepare at all.

Instead of the portal network you could make all contestants pay a runestone as part ofthe entry fee. Have this done 2 sep days. Everyone pays and gives runestones ect one day. Then you mark all the runes at the location, set up scouts and come up with "fire exit" plans in case some shit goes down.

Finally have everyone meet in a defensible city such as Serruk, distribute the runes and sync recalls to the location. Have a set of scouts around the city you are recalling from to make sure u have enough time to bank ur runes and fend off the attackers.

See how doing an event like this takes careful planning? That is part of the joy...Be creative and do something like this again.

I mean they brought 35 people in siege gear. I think we ended up with about 38 contestants. They attacked the FFA 10 minutes in. I would say we still had 20 people running around and it was any ones game. Literally the most frustration was that they didn't wait until the FFA had 1-2 people left. At least then we would know who won and who did the best.

Its ok I wouldnt expect you to have any notion of creativitiy beyond "everyone group up and kill each other."

As for others who might want to host something it would be best to have a well thought out plan such as some suggested in this very thread. One suggestion would be to not siege an alliance at the same time as your event.
