I just recently learned to read and write so any one reading this I’m sorry if some of this is in past tense as I fill in the gaps from my past to now. Ill start at the day I believe my life was set in motion, or some would say the day my life ended per say.
It was the founders day celebration in my small village. The day was easy to remember because it fell on midsummer’s eve. The moon was full that night. The blaze of the fire was as high as the trees. That’s when it happened. The ground shock as I heard the thunder in the distance. It became louder and louder as they approached. They entered our village one by one, I lost count after about 20. I remember my dad saying hide Vile it’s the humans. I hid in a near by bush. Out armed and out numbered I watched my friends fall one by one. Not trained in the art of combat I did what any brave elfar would do, I hid and didn’t make a peep. I watched as the sword struck the final blow as my dad fell to the ground. My mom tried to run with my little brother as three arrows pierced her back. My bother is thrown at least a body’s length from her as she hit the ground. He reached his hand out to me, seeing me in the bushes, as one of the humans impale his fragile body with his sword. I remained there quite like the cowered I was. I look back today and wish I would have helped fight. I know deep inside I would have died, I’ve wished that as well.
When the humans left I waited for what seemed like forever. When I ran over to my brother he was still breathing I held his hand as he took his last breath. Alone I buried all three of them. I veiled that day I would avenge their deaths, even if it meant wiping every filthy human for the face of this world.
Well I would guess now it’s easy to see why I say this is where my life began or ended which ever way you prefer to look at it.

I buried all three of my family that night all alone. I swore on their graves I would avenge there deaths. I would work hard to become a strong worrier and hunt these reagent humans to ends of our world. For many moons to past I wondered aimlessly thru the forest. One day I stumbled across some young humans hunting. I waited patiently and quit for just the right moment to prance like a wolf hunting its pray. That day I found my purpose or so I thought. If I killed all the young humans there would be no one to take the place of the war lords who massacred my village. From this point forward more moons then I can count, I patrolled the boarders of human lands daily praying on their young. I 1st killed for vengeances, then it became for fun. I thought I had it all figured out. I couldn’t have been any more wrong.
One day I was out for my normal border patrol like every other day, or so I thought. I came across two young humans hunting I began sneaking up on them like I have done so many times before and I was good at it if I don’t say so myself, like a great poet who’s words flow so smoothly as the picture he paints forms before you. I unsheathed my weapon and started to strike as an arrow pierced my back. Before I could even turn around I was hit with a broach of arrows and magic I had never seen before. I tried to run but I didn’t get very far before I fell to my knees, I couldn’t drive myself to move any further. It felt like an eternity, but only a few moments had past. I thought of my brother, mom and dad. A part of me welcomed my death, yet a part of me was still scared. One of the humans walked towards me he pulled out what I thought was the shortest pull arm I ever seen. Yes. I know, a weird thing to think right before my death (Later I found out this weapon was call an ax). The human approached ever so slow as if he wanted to provoke the fear inside me, and it worked! At this point he stood right above me, as he drew back his ax I saw several arrows plummet into him. It must have been at least twenty wolves emerge from the forest toward the humans. I’m not sure what happened from here I’m afraid I must have lost consciousness.

I don’t know how much timed had passed before I awoke. When I opened my eye every thing was blurry. I heard an unfamiliar but soothing voice say “ah, your awake”. When I looked over I could just make out the shadow of him. I blinked a few time trying to clear my vision, that’s when I realized it was a wolf that stood before me. I fell to the floor tying to get away from him. The Wolf said “Calm down my child I’m not going to hurt you, they call my Naga Wolf“. I remember the stories my parents use to tell me about the savage Wolves, They told me if I should ever see one I should to strike 1st before it did. I cowered in the corner of his hut. He could hear the trembling in my voice when I replied I am Vile. Naga Wolf told me “Don’t be afraid Vile you are safe hear. This village is well protected and if any one in this village harms a hair on your head, they have to answer to me, and none of them are that foolish”. It felt so good to have a normal conversation with some one for once. We talked til the 1st light of day peaked over the tall mountain.

Ah yes young Vile Wolf he was a myth to me growing up in the forest of the Mirdian lands. Many people told stories of the wild alfar they saw when returning from Human lands. Didn't believe them until years later when I finally meet him.

I don’t remember everything we talked about that night, but there is some things ill never forget. I remember when we actually made a connection. I asked him why would you risk your lives with the humans to save me. Naga Wolf replied “I wish I could tell you that was true. We didn’t attack the humans to save you. A few days ago my wife and daughter was out picking berries when that same band of humans road thru. Needless to say they didn’t leave either one of them a live. I still grieve for them. When we finally caught up to them last night we killed every one of them, and that’s when we found you. Knowing what I know about the elfar I normally would have left you for dead. I felt there was something different about you, I don’t know why, or maybe it was because when I looked into your eyes you reminded me of my daughter“. That’s when I told him about the attack on our village. Naga began to speak “We have more in common then we knew. I have prayed to the gods ever since that night to return my family to me. I know that’s not possible; However, They have sent you to me. That must mean something. I think it was our destiny for us to find you. No one can replace your family or mine but, there no reason we cant be a family ourselves. So what do you say?”. A tear ran down my face as I filled with joy. I couldn’t remember the last time I was that happy. I replied “I would like that very much”. Naga wolf replied “Then we will call you Vile Wolf”. I told him “this can be the day of my resurrection into my new life. Besides my body was alive up till now, but my spirit was lost”. Naga wolf “VileWolf resurrected it is then”.

Naga wolf was one of the oldest and wisest of his clan. When he gave an order no one question it. He wears his authority so lightly. I could tell some of the other wolves didn’t agree with his decision about me; however, no one expressed it to him. It was a bit awkward when I walked by a group of wolves and all of them stoped talking. I would guess a lot of them thought I would turn on them if the opportunity arose. I could understand why if the stories about the elfars told to them were similar to the stories told to me about the wolves when I was young. After speading time with the wolves I discovered those stories was not at all true. Infact they where much like the elfar in many ways. One evening I was walking home to my hut I over heard my name spoken by some wolves in a conversation. I hid behind a near by tree to listen. I recognized one of the voices as two wolves. Two wolves was the next in line for leadership over the clan. Two wolves “Just because Naga wolf has grown attached to that filthy elfar doesn’t mean we have to except her as well”. I ran off to my hut I cried all night. The next morning Naga wolf came to my hut he could tell I was crying. Naga wolf “what is wrong Vile”. I almost told him, but I know he would have had two wolves executed, and I would have no more blood shed on my behalf. So I replied, nothing. He knew I was lying. Naga Wolf “I understand your not ready to tell me so when you are I’m still here”. Then he walked away.

I remember the day when I actually started to feel like part of the clan. Several seasons had past and now it was dead of winter. Most of the herd had moved south. This was one of the coldest winters I had ever seen and the clan was on the break of starvation. All the young wolves where summand to help hunt to supplement the shortage of food. I was scouting a small cove when a human past by. He looked very strong I didn’t think I could have taken him alone. So I hid and remained as quit as I could. I watched him ride over to the next cove where one of the young wolfs named Little Wolf was hunting. I knew this wasn’t good. I refused to watch some else get sleighed again and me do nothing. I snuck over to the other cove as quit as I could. By this time he had already engaged Little Wolf. Little Wolf had just fell to the ground when I released my 1st arrow. I lunched a 2nd arrow into him and he turned from Little Wolf to engage me. The human shot his bow with such speed and precision I had no choice but to go into a defensive position. I was able avoid some of his shots through the brush but I couldn’t keep this up for long. eventually I was beaten I could not push my body to move any further. Just then is when three wolves appeared in the opening, and the human fled. As My eyes started to darken I over heard One of the wolfs (which I will not mention his name, because I do not wish to damage his honor) say “lets just leave the elfar to die, we can tell Naga Wolf she was killed by the human“. Two Wolves Struck him with a lighting fast back hand, knocking him off his death pig. Two Wolves “You fool, she just saved my sons life. Why we where still trying to get here, I seen it all. he would be dead if it wasn’t for her. She’s a hero. I should kill you myself for talk like that.”. That’s the last I remember. When I woke up all the high council was standing around me. I was awarded the highest honor by the high council that day, for putting another clansman life above my own. After that I was treated as an equal amongst all the wolves. It finely felt Like I had a place In this clan.

I bet I was the happiest elfar alive. Naga Wolf and I spent a lot of time to together we were inseparable. He showed me all the wolf games. He taught me about the gods and how to pray. He believed one of the most important thing in our lives is spiritual balance. we prayed to the Wolf gods three times a day.
Naga Wolf carried a long shinny bladed weapon. One day I asked him what is that weapon you carry. He replied “why it’s called a great sword”. I like this weapon I replied. Will you teach me to use it. Naga wolf “Many wolves think This is the answer to any problem. When in fact its usually not the right answer. Don’t get me wrong my child there is a time to fight, But a true warrior lives to be an old wise warrior by knowing when not to fight. Battles are not won by the best swordsman or the strongest warriors, but by the most cunning with well planed strategies. You learn to think 1st and then I will teach you to use the sword.”
