View Full Version : Good sandbox game to play?

I'm at office and i'm sick and tired to read whines on forum about patches not coming, AV failing, server closing, money speculations, servers dying, etc...

I need an advice... any nice sandbox mmo that's worth to try while AV tells me what will be of DF, and while i'm fake-working @ office?

Mabinogi: fucking ugly and pretty gay
MO: meh... still in beta... logged for 4 times, uninstalled.
Runescape: ...
UO: still the best i know, but really too old, i need something new.

Please, make my month... PLEASE!!

I hear RL has a lot of sandbox elements. Try it out sometime.

If there was a better game to play we wouldn't be here.

Unluckly got too much RL atm. Would be better to be a student, with nothing to care of, nothing to think about, nothing else than follow lessons, go back from school, grind.

xsyon.com looks like it could be cool..

still not out tho..


honestly darkfall is and should be the best out there.. they have solid gfx, fun combat mechanics.. decent guild/alliance tools..

they just need to overload the next patch with the sandbox elements that these other games like xsyon claim to have.

this sandbox idea is picking up steam but still by indie companies that fall short in one area or the other.. for now there isnt much else to do but hope DF gets it together.

I want to like eve so much but every time I resubscribe I just stop playing after a week. Maybe because I don't play with a clan.

If you have never tried EvE I would give that a shot. Free 10 day trial I think. Should be at least.

Whats wurm online like? i tried looking for good youtube game play videos, but none really other than trailers.

Currently I opperate mostly solo in the Khanid Region low sec. I am a profiteer and do not pirate. Hollar, at Zercix if you get back in the game and need some help with the game. I am new (6 months or so), but I have friends that have played and I have a good idea of how things work in game.

Currently only one group of pirates try to station camp me, but I stick to small ships, and have undock bookmarks, so I have not lost a ship to the current group yet. That being said I have not been in game for much recently other then changeing market orders. Life changes and all.

hmmm sounds interesting I might get give it another go as well
