I was thinking earlier, buildings in player cities should have customizable "specializations" just like each individual skill has. It would add more progression to completed cities, for one, and would add diversity.

Quick example: Able to customize walls between 2 different "specs":
A- The wall has a overhanging edge so its harder to launch up onto, or
B- The wall can take x% more damage.

Just an example, but their are quite a few possibilities for each building type, while still keeping in mind potential balance issues. It would also rev up the resource economy, especially if the specs are costly, and allow further diversity beyond building up a pre-generated city.

Just a thought O.o.
