This isn't so much a looking for a clan post, as getting a feel for what clans are out there, and to introduce myself and my gaming goals. Please feel free to introduce your clan, what you do, what your focus is etc. Oh I'll be on the NA server.

I'm 25, I've been playing MMORPGs since DAoC, and before that MUDs. I wrote my Psychology thesis on the motivations and play styles of players in MMOs. I'm currently working on a degree in game development :)

I followed Darkfall before it came out, but for whatever reason, I didn't try it at release. Now I've exhausted quite a few of the MMOs out there and just cannot find one where I am happy with the PVP.

Obviously, I am a new player - brand new in fact, the game is still downloading, but it will not take me long to figure things out and start making my way up the ladder.

My MMO history (going from most played to least) is roughly: DAoC, WoW, CoX, War, Aion, Lotro, DDO, and GW. I may have missed something in there ;)

My passion is PvP, and I prefer group vs group over solo or zerg vs zerg. DAoC has always been my favorite game for that reason, and honestly it seems like the pvpers I meet in other games are just trash in comparison. Not saying everyone is, but, there was definitely skill there.

The last couple months I have been wasting my time in Aion. Not going to go on to long of a rant here but the game is beyond fixing. After reading a yearly recap (scanned out of a magazine) it didn't shock me to learn that they changed development teams 3 times in 4 years. It shows, and honestly I think the problems with the game run to deep to patch. Anyway, I started Aion 2 months late, and I was the 4th cleric on my server to get the full Miragents set (basically the best set in the game for clerics), just two weeks after hitting 50. That's just a measure of my dedication, its not really much of an accomplishment to be honest, and just a PvE one.

So I'm here checking out Darkfall and surprisingly, I am reading quite a lot of good things and peaking my interest again. After some forum reading, checking up on the direction the game is going, and the positive vibe I get from the players I think I have happily found a game that will support my style and actually care about its playerbase.

Okay, that's a lot of typing... sorry! Onto the in-game stuff...

After a few hours of reviewing the game via forums I obviously don't know how everything works, but I have gleaned that hybrids are considered to be the most effective characters. That's nice, I'm sure I will branch out, but I am leaning towards a caster centric Alfar. I'm not sure how much race can restrict clans (I got the impression it doesn't matter much) but that I think will be my first step.

In terms of Clan, I like to get to know people, understand how they play, and play consistently! Keeping this as short as possible: I don't like zergy guilds where the group dynamic changes every time you play and thus you are never playing at anything remotely close to peak efficiency. I understand that larger numbers may be needed for certain aspects of this game, and I will participate in those aspects, but my passion is for group vs group, or group vs 2-3x the numbers type of fights.

Anyway, introduce yourself or clan, drop some suggestions, or camp the starting area to gank me :)
