"So you got the looks but have you got the touch. Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright, but that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night ..."
We knew what it looked like, all they have given us is a few names to go with it. Shame the underground is not superimposed on top of it as well just so we know how much there is.

Great map, seems like the sub continents are closer to the mainland than I remember the old map showed. Thanks for this map, something I have waited for for a long time.

The map looks good, but there are a few locations missing. Where is the Mercian religious city Dalriada? Im sure there are other locations missing as well. Perhaps the map needs to be completed first with a listing of every NPC city in the game?

More than enough for me; I do not think this was supposed to be seen as a detailed map or complete.

Thanks for the update and the map.
For most games Graphic cleanup is far along in the process. And that they have taken time to update the world map is a good thing.

Wow, it looks good. I'm always impressed when people spend time making a good looking map. It shows commitment.

So it looks like the community guessed correctly awhile ago about this. Nice. Specifically look at Joiry's old map.
Also, somebody mentioned Alfar area being small... if the devs still do it, then count on a good amount of Alfar area to be underground.

Is there a scale? Because I'd like to superimpose the map of Azeroth on this and post it on the WoW forums, just to show them how dinky their world is.

If I were you I would superimpose a WoW map, at the same size as the Sackland area, directly over Sackland.

Look again the WoW islands are right there! Most ppl in WoW don't realize that a much better world awaits them, if they'd only leave..

Great! It's looks really cool and I like that they include only the racial capitals and three other spots so that there is alot left to discover when you start playing.
Cheers devs for a nice update.

Sweet I love the little blood splater on the map. I also like how each race will have active borders. No friendly contested lands that should keep aliances from tearing themselves apart to early in the game.

A small area, Alfars, is not cohesive to a loss. You men and your "Bigger is better" mentality. I'm sure they made the Alfar territory small because there will be few to defend it, or so they would like to hope. Also, having a small area to defend means the whole territory can easily defend itself, or, if too many people play the Alfar, fight and squabble more.
Needless to say, the map is nice I suppose. It's easier to pick your enemies now . I really like how there aren't distinct borders. I always did hate when games pre-defined borders that were going to change in a matter of minutes.

Alfar territory is mostly underground, we have a few above ground areas but mainly as a protective spot for our entrances.
For a human scale, they said the game world above ground piece without water counted just the core mainland no islands was about the size of Germany / Montana. It takes a standard human about 6 days to walk across either of them. Our game days are 4 hours long so 4X6 = 24 hours of game play to cross Agon's mainlaind by foot if they are keeping with the scale.

I'm sure you know better than me that Dalriada is not the racial capital, it's the holy city and a lot less crowded than Sanguine. I bet it will be in the game.

Less crowded, mayhaps, but the Church is strong enough to lock the King in a stalemate as far as military power is concerned. It has the numbers to support its agenda, as much as individual races do. Dalriada is an independent city-state, as is the Vatican. It should have been on the map.

Strong enough to lock the King in a stalemate? Dalriada an independant city state? Those words are very close to treason, Preacher.

The devs are quoted as saying it would take 12 hours to walk across the main continent. So perhaps 24 total hours if you walked across the islands and the main continent combined.
I don't see that happening.

*Can't wait to see what's on the 4 Islands Niflheim, Yssam, Cairn and Rubaiyat*
You mean you don't know?
Yssam is filled with jungles, and ruins of a lost civilization, who were destroyed by one celetial dragon(event boss/demigod). Also, T-rexs and fastrunners fill the mainland, with other prehistoric creatures.
Cairn is a desert wasteland, populated by Minotuars and giants.
Rubaiyat is like cairn, except djeer(scorpion like people) and shades habitat it, exploring the ruins of another lost civilization.
Nifheim is a blizzard covered island with Ice giants and winter dragons. Also, there are some people left on it, but they are either joining Illgarm, an Ice Demon, or are being destroyed by him.(possible event here.)
These sub-continents are going to be more PVE based, so good luck if you want a city there...

Yes, I didn't know, thanks for the informations :)
But it's another thing to explore it on your own than just to read what's there. I'm the type of player who wants to explore the wild islands instead of the civilized mainland ;)
