that is rubbish. Design and Art have different purpose. Design should have accessibility, it is utilitary, it is the solution of a problem or a lacking of something... Not like art. Design is not art, although there is some artistic/aesthetic element into it.

QFT. Design is the utilitarian feature of art , as in the composition of a piece. Placing certain elements in certain spots of a piece is likened to working with a puzzle, if they don't fit, the piece is lost ,as in my own sig as an example, lol. I have done better but threw it out there anyway. Feedback wether its good or bad is ALL good if done in a constructive manner . Getting pissy over a sig on these forums will get you flamed, laughed at and derided by all . None of those actions are endorsed on the Art forums btw. They can and will get your account suspended . If you don't think I know what I'm talking about I've been an artist, photographer and designer for over 30 years . Thats not a brag, thats a fact . Sometimes things work out and its a great work. Sigs are minor drops in the artistic bucket . If you like'em , great. If not great. I do not claim to be the best at anything here, but I do have a lot of experience to draw on . No one on these forums will ever take this stuff seriously. If you can't take criticism of any sort, you are in the wrong profession, period.
Everyone check your egos at the door . Rate the Sig thread is about getting a bit of feedback , minor ribbing, etc. For some its a place to showcase their PS or Gimp skills . I've seen a shitload of great and poor here. No one should feel like they have to be 733t gawds to post work here.

There's no signature on your signature, and the dwarf sticks out too much against the backdrop. He looks more like he's standing in some sunny place than in the chilly mountains behind him. Maybe that's just me though.

I give yours an 8/10 too. Try adding a golden colored 1 pixel size border to the outside of yours. I think it will give it that "extra touch".

At first you could read at the top right "Alfar of Nagast" but i decided it didn't look really cool and removed it.
Also i had to make it a jpeg with a background color the same as the DF background cause the psd file with transparency was just a bit too big(100K size).
