Perhaps a picture sig, they always go down well, keep the quote underneath it. Ask in the "official REquest a Sig" thread, some kind people will make it. Might ask my maker to put that lightning a bit higher.

edit - looking at the sword closer you've done a sloppy job withthe cutout i can see a straight line running up to the left of the handle and solid area's around the sword of the previous background u cut it out of.

this may take a lil longer but if you cant get it to crop properly go around the edge with the eraser at 1-3 px and trace the countour then delete outside of that to get avery clean cutout. if you worried about messing that upo just do it with some opacity.

i really like what you've done with the text tho.

i still don't see the line on the left of the handle which you're talking about, but the highlight to the right of the sword i left in purposefully as a magical aura... or some other such nonsense :D it also appears as a black blade, and removing the aura would mean changing the blade color again. while i could've cut it more closely, i liked how it ended up; i played with the sword quite a bit, and probably could have just left it out altogether, but i am quite fond of it and wanted to incorporate it somehow.

as far as your test image, i like the idea, but the actual image within the parallelogram doesn't really stir me. 7.25/10.

well i've been on these forums since 05 and i've seen it in a number of sigs.

apart from that i think your sig is shit anyway, very bland no attempt to build any sort of background or even put the image onto parchment to make it look like a sketch (which is what i am guessing you MIGHT have been trying for as i cant see any other theme with the sig)

0 creativity, poor presentation and just a bland boring and crappy sig.

I actually don't know how to make borders on Paint.NET.

besides simply using the rectangle tool and placing yourself (which is what i used to do) you could also try adding the frame plugin (http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=20533). this makes adding borders easy and they look pretty good imo. nice for your first attempt, btw. 8/10

The pheonix is good aside from the cut off weapon. It's white coat blending in the backround reminds me of those 3D news paper images where you have to blur your eyes to see the real image. Loss in points since I can't read the paragraph.

First, the name, place it into bottom-left corner over the glyphs. Second, make the glyphs stick out little more and fade them a bit. In my opinion, the image thing could also use a color scheme change.

I guess i'm not to keen on very bright sigs. (can't talk much tho still learning) Seems like like the character should be brighter then the back ground tho. The building jumps out at me to much takes away from the main guy. Unless the character isn't the main focus. But I do like the golder color better then green.
