OOC: Hey everyone this is my begging character name is Tagrun who is elf Tags to the party. The group is made of Humans and Elfs who are scouting out the orc scouts and killing them so they can not report back to their leaders. Join up introduce your character as the line I got! Enjoy!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
As the air blew through my hair, I looked over the edge I was standing to see a floweriest green valley where you can only see paths of which the wild has made, knowing that a war would strike this peaceful valley soon and destroy one of the last green valleys in my lands and with it bringing enough sorrow and grief to destroy the rest of the lands and wild.
Standing there lost in my thoughts in my tattered `le armor that was my fathers knowing that I have been a part of the destruction of my lands with the warfare that has killed many.
“Tag! Tag! What are you day dreaming for we need to move we can see the scouts, we must take them out.” Someone shouted from behind me breaking my trance and turning my head the other direction to see the orc scouts coming into view. Turning and shifting my shield and sword on my back I start to walk to the rest of the party stopping at Beth.
Whispering in Beth’s ears “Shhh Beth you won’t have to take me into battle much longer I have a feeling this might be both our finishes.” Glancing seeing that everyone else is mounted I mount up on Beth and trot over to join the rest of the Party.

Nehemia shakes his head a bit. Turning away from the rest of the party with pity. Grinning wickedly a little, he nods and slams his elven-made halberd to the woodstomp, splitting it into two. His white, really long hair lowly moves into the wind. His tribal-stylic war tattoos decorate his muscular build. The elf doesnt wear any armour, expect bracers. His kilt is decorated with orcish and goblin skulls that slightly glimmer in the sunlight.
...We are not in hurry. The orcs move slowly, they held those farmers as prisoners..Pitiful, but they can be sacrificed.
Nehemia grabs his halberd into his left hand, placing it back to its pommel, which is located in his back. An grim look on his face he watches the rest of the party. Their captain is mine then. Before others reply, he starts walking to the woods.

OOC: Kyron signing in.
A suggestion about the backgroung of this story: A skirmish between Humas and Orks in the thread "Strangers pleasure has started a war between these two nations as Orks blame humans for killing their and Humans blame orks for being hostile in their territory. Now, some time later an all-out war is raging between the People of mercia and the people of the Firedragon.

OOC: Nah it is fine!
As Tagrun glanced to his group Elro, his best Elven friend looked at him with a smile on his face. Knowing what he is thinking Tagrun turns to reply as Elro and two others slik behind This young mand and this...Lady."Hail, Sonia. We carry no titles here. We are a group of fighters who kill the evil and spread the justice. I am Lord Tagrun for formal use. My father was the Lord of these lands and these men are my leige men as the like to call themselves. I think they are just a bunch of jokes!"
Waiting for the sign as he watches Elro out of the corner of his eyes come up behind Sonia his duel blades drawn.
"Ahh no need for a reply Sonia as you see my men are more skilled then you will ever compare to! Now then tell me why you are here on the eve of war. These orcs have been terrorising my lands long enough, The have even hired traitors, So who are you!"

Sneaking up on someone who possesed the mind and body of a warrior isn´t easy, eaven if this is asleep. Thus, Sonia was aware of the three men that left the main group in a very transparent attempt to circle all the way around her and the thief in full daylight. The men were obivously masters of stealth, but their task was almost impossible. Sonia doubted if eaven Nocturne, the pagan god of night, who is also worshipped by many thieves, could´ve done it.
It didn´t matter though, how the three warriors circeled around them. They were now surrounded and hopelessly outmatched. This gave Tagrun quite a bit of diplomatic leverage. Then, where Tagruns men had been unable to suprise the Knight, the thief did.
Kyron made no apparent move but, just as Tagrun was telling Sonia there was no need to reply, the throwing dagger he´d been graspnig under his cloak took flight. A blink of an eye later it was sticking out the ground at the feet of an elven warrior, who was grasping two thin swords. The mirdain was forced to stop.
"That´s close enough," the thief spoke quietly, still not making any visible movements, "It´s true you hae us beat ten to one, Tagrun. But individual skill..."
Tagrun could make out a slight confident grin on Kyron´s face.
"And I don´t like being called a traitor either."
"Fool! What are you doing, we´re no match for all of them!"
The young knight whispered angrily. There was no fear in her voice, just frustration. Actually, she had to use all the patience, taught to her by her brother, so she wouldn´t draw her blade and decapitate the cocky nobleman, who acted like a child. The only responce from the thief was his annoying grin, that eaven widened as Sonia underwent her emotional struggle
"You look like you want to find out if you´re wrong about that," Kyron whispered back.
The young knight forced herself to calm down as she replied.
"We are many things, Lord Tagrun, but we are no traitors. Your...percautions are quite uneccesary, though I cannot blame you for keeping your guard up in this time of war at least threats and insults are not needed," she started using Tagruns title in attempt to calm the man down after the foolish thief´s stunt. The lord aswell seemed to want to prove something. Men! Always fighting about who has the bigger ego.
"We seem to have a common enemy, and by ancient rules of war that should make us allies. And, if you indeed fight for justice, I place my life at your hands, for I have done no wrong that I should be judged for...at least by you."
To give weight to her words, Sonia slowly unsheated her sword and offered it to Tagrun.
"Will you take my offer and let me explain our presence here?"
Kyron just shook his head, still not making any other moves.
"Paladines and their honor," he sighed.
At least she didn´t try to force me to give up my daggers to this would-be hero, because I do not intend to!
OOC: Tagrun, If you decide to play it peacefully, you can read about Kyron´s and Sonia´s quest in my first post or in "The thief´s story" thread. Just continue your next post as it had been explained to you, so we won´t have to waste any time. :)
Sonia won´t tell you, however, that her brother is among the prisoners.
It´s up to you, though...cheers!

Nehemia walks down an small path towards the valley. The forests trees are close to each other, and it is hard to see deep into the forests..
As the path turns into the right, an fallen tree couple of feet above the ground is barricading his path.
Hphm. Nehemia draws his gigantic halberd, and chops to the middle of the fallen tree, which cuts into two and falls down on the ground.
"Where are the others, shouldnt they follow up...?
He hears an yell from the hill. He stands still for an while, but couldnt hear the maker of the voice or anything more. Silence breaks trough the forest, he hears footsteps not far away along the path. Grinning, he runs towards the footsteps, suddenly he stops and almost loses his balance...Uphm..

As Tagrun looked at the sword, he turned to the side and looked up. He then walked over to a nearby tree and sat down.
"Sonia, Please come join me we must chat, as my friends take care of your over eager prooving foul of a theif."
Tagrun then watches Elro jump high into the Air and landing in front of the theif pulling the theifs cloak off revealing a odd number of sorts of weapons and the sort. Then laughing he yells to the theif,
"Ahh I love it, you need to teach me that dagger trick some time." Then Tagrun waits for Sonia to sit down accross from him.

-----------------------------------------------
Kyron suprised himself when he managed not to slit the mirdain´s throat as this grabbed him. He stood calmly as Elro jumped over him and spoke. Going around me would´ve been much easier...oh well, if he wants to show off. Then the thief quickly grabbed the elf by his wrist.
"I´d be happy to teach it to you," he said in a decievingly friendly tone of voice.
Then Kyron jerked Elro´s hand upwards, forcing the elf to let go of him. He let go of Elro´s hand and brought his hand back down with a quick motion. When the thief´s hand stopped, he was grasping yet another throwing dagger by it´s blade.
"But I don´t think those gentleman over there would have enough patience to wait around while I´m giving you a lesson."
The thief pointed to the other side of the valley. A band of orks was just entering the valley from the woods.
Sonia was enraged.
"That´s enough! The thief is under my protection ans thus under the protection of the White Order. It seems that your enemy is upon you, Lord Tagrun. Will you do something about it or continue your silly games with us?"
The thief was enraged by the knight´s words.
"I don´t need your protection!" he protested, but propably nobody heard him, since they had more important matters on their hands. This made Kyron eaven more angry.
Then they were noticed by the ork scouts. The entire ork band charged forwards, lusting for human blood. Kyron noticed that none were sent back to report about their findings. They propably think they can report about us after they´ve slaughtered us.
The orks were born fighters. They understood slaughter and battle. But their understanding of war and strategy was limited. This was their weakness.
There was less ork than there were fighters in Tagrun´s party, but eaven if Targun had two times as much men, their victory would´ve been unsure.
"What will you do, Lord Tagrun?" Sonia repeated her question.

"Peace, friends," a voice next to Tag spoke. Mounted on a black leopard was Fawa Fawia, holding his war staff with one hand and fiddling with some special herbs in his other, and staring at the incomming Orks.
"Nehemia, take a few of these bloodweeds; they are my newest creation and you will thank me if one of those scouts gets the best of you. If the plant works right, it will stop the bleading of any non-mortal wound. If not... well... it can't hurt to try, huh?"
Fawa tossed a handful of slimy brownness to his friend, who quickly caught the messy mass. Pleased, Fawa turned to the rest of the group and said, "You there, thief. Kyron you say. You are quick, with your hands as well as your tongue. We could use your skills during this fight. Tag, keep that in mind as you deal with him and his lady." There was a sharp glance from Sonia as if to say *his* lady? "Perhaps we can help them in their travels today. If we wait much longer, they will have no chance but to help us here. Oh well, I'm off to work my magic," he laughed as the cat beneath him started to turn away.

OOC: Ahha Great last two posts.
It looked though as if Tagrun was not paying attention to the Orks just to Sonia. Tagrun was drawwing in the sand when his great friend Fawa was talking and started to laugh at what he was saying. Tagrun then shouted to Fawa as he was leaving "Fawa pawy, You don't scare me with your peacful words you know we can beat them, my band before we had you could take twice the amount." Then turning to Sonia,
"If you don't mind...I must go retrieve my bow," As Tagrun said that Sonia looked surprised, because I did not look like an Archer, Tagrun quickly said " I am a Ranger bred to fight with Archery and a beast within me to duel swords."
Tagrun then got up ran to Beth grabbed his pouch revealing golden painted bow which he took 10 arrows from knowning he would not miss a shot. "To MY Land my Heart" Tagrun yelled pulling back his arrow and killing a ork the second it hit. He kept releasing the arrows till he ran out and threw the bow back grabbed his duel swords and ran.OOC: Fast foward!
As Tagrun looked up from his bloodwrath rage seeing the ork blood running down his face and that of his Party he knew that it was an easy victory. Tagrun was looking around and he saw the Theifs surprised look, "Ehh Theif what you looking at, surprised on how good Me and my crew is, well don't be pick up your jaw, you haven't seen anything yet." Then looking for sonia who was wipping ork blood from her eyes looked at him with the most astonished look.

"Me? I thought it was you screaming when you saw the big bad orks."
Sonia replied to Nehemia with a hint of a grin on her face just before the elven mage pitched in. And indeed, if a sight could kill, Fawa would´ve died the moment he spoke about Sonia as "Kyron´s lady". The thief seemed amused by this.
Then Tagrun held his little monologue. Sonia was indeed suprised to find out that the gigantic man preffered a bow. He seemed like the type of warrior who fought with a two handed sword or eaven a waraxe.
"To MY Land my Heart!"
As orks were charging up the last slope, Tagrun started the battle. His bow killed some orks and wounded many.
Sonia ran over to her horse and jumped into the saddle. There was no time to strap the rest of her armor, the breastplate would have to do.
She looked over at the thief and pointed at the other horse.
"Make yourself useful," and after a moment of hestation, "and...try not to get the horse killed."
Kyron couldn´t hide his grin as he mounted the black steed.
"Don´t worry about me, my lady. I´ll just hide behind you if things start to look bad."
The young woman let out a ferocious warcry and charged towards the orks along with the rest of Tagrun´s party. She passed the entire party and she and Tagrun were the first one´s to engage the orks. Kyron held his horse back, and recieved many angry looks because of this. Eaven Nehemia, who was running on foot, got to enemy before him.
They can think what they want...Thiefs aren´t made for this kind of fighting.
Just before the lord and the paladine hit the enemy´s frontline, Fawa arranged a massive bolt of lightning. It didn´t kill any orks, but it shook them bady and allowed the party to charge in without being cut down immidiately.
Sonia and Tagrun were quite a sight as they rode amidst the orks, cutting them down like grass. Not everyone was as lucky, though. Some fighters were knocked off their mounts by those orks, who had managed to shake off the shock caused by Fawa´s spell.
A young elven warrior was buried under his dead mount, and could do nothing but watch as a huge greenskin approached, lusting for blood. The ork raised it´s warhammer, it´s eyes shined madly. Then it stopped. Slowly it dropped the hammer and fell on it´s face. The young mirdain could make out a handle of a dagger sticking out of it´s neck. Kyron´s throwing dagger had cruhed it´s spine. The elf looked at the thief with new appriciation in his eyes as this rode off.
By now there was very little orks left. Tagrun and Sonia killed them one after the other. Sonia was calm, proffesional, never loosing her concentration. Tagrun, on the other hand, had given in to his rage. He yelled at the orks, insulted and taunted them. Kyron rode around the battlefield and whenever someone was in trouble, he was there, throwing dagger after another at the orks. Fawa´s spells killed a few orks aswell, but the mage had to be careful, as it´s difficult to aim a spell into a raging battle.
Soon enough the last ork fell, cut nearly in half by Nehemia´s gigantic halbred.. There was a moment of complete silence after the battle. It was soon ended by the first screams of the wounded and Tagrun´s speech.
"Ehh Theif what you looking at, surprised on how good Me and my crew is, well don't be pick up your jaw, you haven't seen anything yet."
Kyron and Sonia were indeed staring at the Lord, but their looks weren´t caused by admiration. Both of them were looking at this man, who had became a complete beast in the reacent battle... it had seemed as Tagrun had... lost his humanity for a moment. Kyron felt a certain amount of fear towards the man. However he hid it and looked grimly at Tagrun.
"You were lucky there were no casualties," he said quietly.
A scream of a wounded cut the air as Sonia spoke after the thief.
"Indeed, we were lucky. But there are, however, wounded. Will you look after them, Lord Tagrun, or stay here, boasting? You have nothing to prove to me, Lord. But will you prove that you are a good leader to you people?" She asked looking around.

When Nehemia looked at his upper left side, he noticed nasty woud, about 5-10 centimeters long and at least 2 centimeters deep. Gah' I need to get that bandaged...
He watched his surroundings, how they examined the dead orcish party, while he himself leaned to his halberd.
An sly smirk appears on Nehemia's face. So, Sonia you scroundrel, what brings you here? And how the years have been teaching you. He grins after his words and takes a look at the slowly sinking sun over the mountains.

It was only a few moons ago that Tag grudgingly agreed, a favor for a friend of a friend, to accept his service. The elves of the company accepted him due to his flawless command of their language and the other humans due to his skills and quiet nature. He quickly proved his worth and now led his quartet.
Creet stood as tall as his warhorses shoulders, average for a human. He had saddle brown skin, blondish red hair that fell to his shoulders, the new style amoungst the elves, and dark eyes; eyes that were green during the suns peak but at dusk and dawn looked brown.
Creet armor had a quilted look; Breastplate mixed with chainlink and studded leather, a bracer on his right arm covering up to his knuckles and a buckler over his left, and greaves covering his legs.
Unlike the three elves that he led, he perferred a shortbow over a longbow. In melee he prefered his Cutlass in his left hand and a tomahawk in his right.
His group was the first to fire on the Orcs, covering the right flank for the company. Creet didnt fire at first, he was busy studying the landscape on his right and behind making sure this attack wasnt a diversion, plus at the range of the first couple of volleys the arrows from his shortbow would have only hit the ground; not having the range of the longbows.
The Orks were many but their tactics were poor. Many Orks fell before the bows were forgotten by calloused hands, instead these same hands held swords and axes of different makes.
Creet led his quartet into the Orks, sidestepping, dodging, weaving, spinning to avoid oncoming steel while at the same time delivering crippling blows. The blows werent devastating in nature; they were attacks to disarm, trip or slow down an attacker. Creet attacks were meant to disorient, confuse and disrupt his opponents defenses thus allowing his men, his elves, to lay waste with ease.
Creet danced from opponent to opponent; attacking swiftly and than moving on to another. Suddenly, after spinning away from a successful attack on the back of an Orks knee, Creet found himself without any opponents. Unconsiously his weapons found their way back home as he moved towards his men, studying their movements to determine if any were wounded.
Two were wounded, one slightly worse than the other. Creet armed reached out, his hand coming over the elfs shoulder and resting on the back of his neck. Creet closed his eyes, folded within himself mentally, finding the light that was always within, forcing it out as a healing wave onto his companion.
He repeated the process on the second. Once completed he ordered them and himself to search the corpses of the Orks.

"Why you two still staring at me." ad Tagrun noticed Elro coming to his side.
Whispering too each other "Tagrun Rowmansai what are you doing loosing your Rage, we need to practice this, this is not your alone adventures in the woods kills 50 orks by your self, Tactics...You are an elf, a big one at that who uses a bow, You loose your Rage too easily." Elro said with a leverage of weight on his words. And Tagrun responding not whispering so Sonia and her man can hear
"Elro, My rage is not a scret as you can tell with our party of who I LEAD and COMMAND!, Elro as my best friend you found me in the woods stranded when my father who lived and ran this lands was killed, I ran from you, but you stayed and watched me so I would not die. You know my rage more the most, My rage is not lost, It is my advantage, My strength, Elro, Sonia is a lady of grace fighting, I know that fighting I can best anyone, but noone can best me in my longbow tactics with close range melee not even Sonia's Man." Starting to get impatient, "Why elro do you do this."
Still whispering "My lord, My liege, For I can not see you die on the field with Rage, I know you can best any man or women in your command and any man or woman we pass." sighing "My lord I do this for your love, I love you my lord, for you are a son too me." OOC:sorry for drama...go with itOOC.
Tagrun then looks away surprised Elro used his Full last name that he only knows. Then he looks to Sonia for something, for something in her face, acceptance.

Tarannon wandered the forests of Northern Mercia for what seemed like years before having any contact with another sentient being. He'd run into a small scouting party of half a dozen Orks two days ago, and was still nursing his wounds from that battle. He'd slain all but one, which had escaped to the north, but the Orks had given him numerous wounds and gashes in the fight. On top of all that, he had taken an arrow to the left shoulder, just at the joint between his curiass and epaulets. Tarannon had responded to the arrow with a barrage of thrown knives, each hitting slightly off their mark (he blamed the loss of blood, but more likely it was a lack of recent practice). The archer had fled, with 3 small knives buried in his arms and torso, though none near enough to kill.
As he rode through the forest on a horse that he had stolen from a merchant's camp he snapped his head to the right. For a second he thought he had heard a clang of metal on metal which could only mean a few things, all of them violent. Tarannon turned the white mare in the direction of the sounds and trotted towards what he was sure was a battle.
After several minutes of travel, he came upon a clearing in which a mixed party of humans and elves were surrounded by the corpses of two dozen Orks. Staying in the shadows of several trees, Tarannon observed the party trying to discern whether or not they were a threat to him. A human female, with a breastplate marking her as one of the White Order, certainly a group that he could not claim friendship with, seemed to be arguing with a large, burly elf. Another Elf approached the big one and the two engaged in a whispered conversation. The other members of the party were checking the bodies of the slain Orks for anything that might be of use, while one human went around healing the wounded.
I could go for a bit of healing myself, Tarannon thought to himself. Acting upon the addage that "The enemy of my enemy is my friend," Tarannon dismounted and walked out into the clearing towards the group with his hands empty (aside from the horse's reigns) and high above his head to signify that he was not armed and meant no conflict.
"Greetings, fellow travellers. I see that you've made short work of these unfortunate green-skins here, and am curious as to what so many of you, who do not appear to be attatched to the Mercian Legions (I'm making up a name for the armies of Mercia, and assuming that if a war's on they are going to be fighting the Orks on the border of the two countries) are doing this far north. My name is Tarannon Falastur, son of Siriondil. Who leads this party of warrriors?"

Tarannon waited as the group recuperated after its fight with the Orcs. Tarannon had found the human posessing healing powers and had traded him a few, albiet stolen but the healer didn't need to know that, gold coins for his services, and his shoulder was as good as new save a small scar adorning the spot where the bolt had pierced his skin. He ambled about, greeting the various men and elves in the party, though never approaching the attractive female who continued to draw his eye.
Normally he would have attempted to win her over with the smile that had charmed so many women in the past, but her breastplate marked her as one of the White Order, a group whose members had the alarming tendancy to attempt to expediently mete out their tender justice upon such as him. He spoke to the quiet man whose demeanor marked him as a kindred spirit to Tarannon, and asked questions, inconspicuously and well-veiled questions, to find out more about this strange group that he had seemingly joined to fight Orks.

The one who called himself Tarannon, approached him asking for healing, and than, he and Creet bartered quickly for the service. The whole time Creet spoke with Tarannon, and even while healing, he had flashes of old memories of a ship pop in his thoughts. Even the name sounded familiar Creet thought to himself. Creet than turn his attention to the other gentlemen with the strange accent. He looked over his armor, studied his movements and than nodded in approval; the man has the look of a fighter. Can he be trusted is the question, can either of new arrivals be trusted?

As Tagrun was lost in his thoughs his mind still noticed the newcomers that have come from the forest and he made himself back into reality. Tagrun took a huge breath go inside himself to heal his wounds it must have been quite a show for the newcomers to see a power as this one and most have never seen it before. Coming back to his outward body he noticed everyone was still at work except the new comers and The Thief and The ...Lady who were intent at staring wondering what this elf just did.
---Tagrun passed a few glances over his party and then nodded to Elro and two other elfs who walked to him.
"Elro, you take this two men and get the two new comers ...Ask them...NO tell them I must speak with them if they are too join the party." tagrun said with a half- no care sound to it...
After that tagrun slowy took his time to meet with his friends making sure everything was going fine and he took his time when passing Nehemia, Eyeing him up and down "Nehemia stop chatting, clean up your mess."
When tagrun finally reach Sonia he hailed her "Hail Knight Sonia, Pleasure to do battle next to you.." Then waiting for a response looking at sonia's surprised look.

"Yeah. I was just wondering...Are we actually going somewhere? Are we going to kill things, because I've got a crossbow bolt that I owe to some Orks. I haven't had any good revenge in a while, so I figure this is the time, and it'd be a lot easier if I were with such..." Tarannon eyed the crowd, assessing them, "such a seasoned group of warriors such as yourselves." Tarannon stopped speaking, when he noticed that the leader of the party was ignoring him, to stare at the White Order Knight. The Elf spoke to her, as if the only for the reason him speaking was to hear a repsonse from her.
"Tagrun, I hate to inturrupt you two, but I know that an outrider or scout from this group of Orks that you so cleanly took care of earlier didn't join the fray, and ran off to tell his friends about y'all. I saw him running when I came out of the forest, as you were all fighting. He'd never even engaged in the fight; I've never seen an Ork do that before. Anyway, in my humble opinion as a traveller who knows these parts, you don't want to tarry here much longer."
Tarannon looked sharply at the Elf who still hadn't turned to face him, but the Elf's posture showed that he'd heard Tarannon's words...
