Caption: The picture above is my interpretation of an Alfar riding a drake. Now I know the Devs have said that our version is a wingless beast, but somehow, I think the terror envoked by this image represents the fear other races will feel come judgement day.

I was also thinking about giving him a Sithra.

My signature has no real connection with Darkfall...rather, it's the Family Guy monkey, with the caption 'the monkey has you', referencing to the Matrix, as does the binary in the BG...well, perhaps you should see for yourself. This picture is worth *counts*: 44 words

Well, probably just to get a feel for what is on the boards and to keep it within the overall feel /themes out there . Its not a bad idea actually . Alfar/bats ties in as Alfar are subterranean dwellers ...kinda similar features..:ohno:...thats downright eerie ! :eek:

You've got the right idea! The bat was meant to go with the underground theme of his character-he told me they live in caves, so I thought-bats! I just wanted to see what kind of things other people do with their signatures so I could make his, plus I love Photoshop and I like to see what other people create on it.

As far as monitoring his posts... haha, I either start arguing with him about his opinion or talk about it if I agree/find it interesting. You know, the usual, keep him in line and all that. ;) Thanks for the compliment!

I -finally- got around to making a Crest for Eleador.
The Pheonix is from Ruger Firearms. I lifted the image off one of their moneyclips.

I also inserted it into everyones Signature and revamped the Header Banner completely.

Here is a link to our forums which pertains to the changes. I'd like to know what you all think. And you can see the progress of the Banner as you read through the thread. It still isnt finalized. Thanks Ben.

We've toyed with a formal Guild Crest and emblem for years now, but we never followed through. We always found things that would work for us, but never one thing that everyone would agree on.
So, I kind of just forced the issue, made the move and so far everyone likes the new crest. Still needs some touch-ups here and there, but for the most part its done.

The Pheonix is used alot I know, but it holds meaning to the Elear.
We've had our struggles and gone through more strife than most guilds can honestly compete with. Yet we remain. Always rising from the ashes to soldier on.

I'll be hopefully working on the website and making changes to that as well. If I have my way, the colors will be reworked to something a little less eye-gouging. Unfortunetly that means I will also have to completely remake everyones signatures -again. God why didnt I save the .PSD's ? LOL.

If any others have visted us, please share your thoughts on the new header banner and guild crest.

We have the same dilemma . We did have a fully themed website, but no formal signature structure, plus we have a really large guild pop, so making sigs for 900+ people is an OMGWTF task :lmao:. Also, the number of games we are into at any given time would mean having to have a sig maker for each one . The name "The Wanderers" fits , we do wander from game to game . I think getting paid to make sigs for a large guild would be cool, but maybe a bit stressful due to sheer numbers and the variety needed .

It's just a little drawing I did with a couple of filters put on it...I was going to put some more atmospheric stuff, but I thought it took away from the figure itself. It also looked alot better before I had to cut it down to 150...but oh well, I like it.

Looked pretty constructive to me. It could have been a bit more tactful, but what's the fun in that? Clean up some of the filters and give it a smoother feel and I think it will look much better.

I was going for a surreal type of phase-shifting look, and in the uncompressed pic it looks pretty good. Alot of it was lost making it 150 high since it was mainly a vertical image anyways.

But anyways, I still like it, probably because I know what it really looks like.

read this magnificent article at uncyclopedia, and made a sig out of it. i repainted the Goa Tse glyph, and made a simple background. not really a master with filters and stuff in PS so it is very simple. made a border and enhanced some generetic font with some painting hehe...

Aside from an overuse of a "Carbon fibre" type filter, they're not bad for 1st attempts. If you want a blur effect, use the blur tool brush or a gaussian blur filter on selected areas.
As far as the text is concerned, it could be larger and more well defined. The drop shadows or bump map of the text tends to make it hard to read. Common mistakes when playing around with the filters, etc. Keep at 'er, or as a fave comic of mine sez " Get 'er done!":D

On signature 2 the grayishly black "Bensidhe" text. Its not too sharp, but just a little..

Just noticed that my sigs borders are way too sharp looking, and now I managed to cut them a bit, but screwed up and flattered the layers *claps to himself*

well yeah. it is very nice rendered. but imo photorealism isnt always the best way to go when it comes to art. i think art gets much more exiting when rendered more artistic. but that piece isnt even finished so i dont know how the finished version is going to be hehe. but the render is awesome.
