Cell Phone art.

So I finally broke down and got a cell phone yesterday (samsung a920). Had to going to be on the road 3 days a week for the next few months :(

Anyway.. the point is that I was scrolling through the different screensavers, backrounds and what have you and I though it would be cool if some of this funky art could be formatted into cellphone art.

I am a nerd I know ;)

That may be the size of the screen, but I dunno if a pic will work at that resolution. Anyway, I have the same phone, and what I found to work was .bmp files at 1260*980. I've got a pic that I took and edited on it now as my background.

I just plugged in a 176x220 and it worked like a charm.

I did not use the MicroSd card, I used Rumkin (http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/) to do the free upload and pulled it down from there. Same with ringtones

I also discovered I can convert movies from avi to a 3g2 format and watch them on it. They were suprisingly decent quality

I have a few videos on my phone that I really want to put on my computer, but I've got no idea how to do that. Is there a program that will change the format?

well if you are using the a920 just put them on the transflash card that comes with. I bought a bigger one

Just make sure in the setting is it set to save on the memory card and not internal

Ok first shot at this size stuff for cell phones. Give me a direction lighter darker less abstract techie whatever, I need some fast basic stuff to try some things with so just give me an idea to murder.

Well it is pretty funky looking but I was thinking more in the line of Darkfall stuff, like say the avatars reformatted to 176x220 and still look good =)

Right now mine is Stewie the text reading "Touch my Ipod and I will Kill you"

Thats pretty strange if you think about it . Cell phone art ...maybe the devs will let us design some stuff to be used with cell phones . Talk about getting exposure for your art and the game !

I threw this together really fast . Weird size format to work in so I guess minimalism is in . >bmp format for size restrictions .

I can't pack today , I have the kidlet around and its tuff to do work without interuptions .:ohno:..Daddy can I do this, get me that, the dog pooped on the carpet..etc, etc, etc . Monday , when everyone is gone , then its my time to make it work . ;)

To get on track here , does anyone know how to get these images into an LG 450 ? I have Marvin the Martian on mine atm and need to replace him . My phone ISP blows for anything out of the ordinary .
