So you're privy to their working hours, they have likely noticed all the moaning and seen it first hand quicker than the rest of us and had fixes ready.

This makes no sense.

What do you mean it doesn't make sense? Tuesday is better than patching on the weekend, which NA-1 was.

I would rather them fix their game as soon as they can and continue what they're doing so I'm not casting with a dawnstaff, for example, for a week straight.

Hotfixes for issues ruining the game should be applied ASAP.

I'm not sure if it is the case with current patch, but there were some issues (battlespike bug) that required immediate reaction.

So once they fix or the patch is out they should just sit and wait for Tuesday ?... just because it's a tuesday ?

I'm talking about large content patches.

Monday: patch is ready and AV has staff meetings to coordinate, communicate and to prep everyone re patch day.

Tuesday: Patch

Wednesday: Fix patch

Thursday: Fix patch

Friday: Make sure server is stable, drink beer

Weekend: Happy customers.

I dont care how many times they patch the game, as long as they patch the game IN THE NIGHT when we are ASLEEP.

Plenty of people play at night. It's impossible to accommodate everyone's schedules.

No mention of WoW. Just a discussion. If you are not here to discuss then fuck off.

yeah, a good patching strategy is for carebears!!1

Seriously though, suggestions sounds fine to me. He's not talking about hotfixes but large patches and adding them on a Friday seems stupid to me because there are bound to be issues that'd fuck with peoples weekend.

They should patch whenever their patch is finished and ready to deploy.

This would be awesome if the patches actually worked like they were meant to.

A) I'm not a kid

B) Not a noob

C) Not crying

D) Don't play WoW

E) Not dumb

If the patch is ready by all means, patch it in. I think the best optimal day is Tuesday. If a patch is happening Euro Wednesday, then NA might not even get the patch until Thursday, and if there are delays then that leaves only one day to fix issues and then once again potentially you are stuck all weekend with a crap patch.

deal with it that AV has only few employed people who are pro and doing awesome job, and blizzard has thousands of employees who can test patch before, gj AV!!!

Go outside and do something else.

Go outside and do something else.

That's exactly what I had to do all weekend because of what happened. AV patched and their was a problem with their server host and my ISP provider Shaw (noted in the news by Tasos). On the phone for 1.5 hours with shaw who is telling my it's AV's problem and AV unable to do anything because GNI was closed. Hopefully I will be recompensed but that is another issue. Nonetheless, this is the reason for my suggestion.
