Has anyone else downloaded AVG 9.0?

Ever since I have upgraded my anti virus software from AVG 8.0 to 9.0 a few days ago, I have had a problems and wonder if anyone else is experiancing the same or has any advice.

I'll be in game and periodically (say once every 20 mins or so) my screen goes black, and then Im back on my desktop. Im not logged out of the game, as I continue to hear sound effects, I have to click on the darkfall browser again, there is a few seconds dely & Im back in game (sometimes with the controls not responding).

As you can imagine, its not overly helpful if your in the middle of a fight, although its only caused me to die once.

Im asuming its related to my new anti virus software.. has anyone experianced the same thing?

Just uninstall it and see if it keeps doing that. Rocket Science ;)

I don't use AVG, but a guildmate was having the exact same issue and he finally figured out that it was related to AVG. I would stop the service before you startup the game, or reinstall the previous version if you can.

I have used AVG for years. I recently uninstalled AVG9 shortly after upgrading. Its terrible and its annoying as you can't right click exit the program anymore which stops all avg proccesses at the same time.

Reinstall 8 if you can.

Thanks I upgraded last night and it's been drivin me nuts. It makes pvp interesting though. I guess I'll try Avast.

its got to do with the settings.

if you make the darkfall map a "safe" map, and the darkfall.exe a process it doesnt have to check you wont alt tab out.

Thank you!! I've had this exact problem & didn't realise it was due to AVG 9. Back to 8 then by the looks of it :(
