Ruby brought full Cairn help with this. Ruby/Cairn (they're really one entity, they should just be called Rubycairn or Cruby or Rairn or something) also paid mercenaries just to try and ensure victory, probably since they know Ruby isn't a very good alliance.

Sounds about right, the friendlies listed in DFWA alliance chat were : WMD, UDA, The Tenth, Dark Octopus, Custodis Silenti, Section 8, Highlanders, Einherjar, Grief, Lod, LoTD, Sinister, COTP, Vengeance, Black Shields, Nemesis, BATTLE COMMS, Invalid Target, & COTP.

This is and has been the case with pretty much every clan ever in Darkfall.

Just check out the field numbers though. RubyCairn and Zealot have a massive numerical advantage over just what Chessy can bring.

My clan is imperil. we have 105 members. We have maybe 15 active people and no more than 8 on at a time, sometimes 1-2 people even, sometimes I log on and no one else is active...

Yeah they won 5 self sieges in an hour last night and called in an entire 2nd alliance along with hiring mercs tonight. Now of course I did see Blood hired Scarebears so the mercs negate each other....of course WMD's mercs number about 40ish with Battle Comms and invalid target where as Blood's mercs are about 20ish. But then you have to figure in the 60-70 Cairn members. Hell scouting around the sieged city when Blood's forces moved into attack I can't say that I have yet to see a single clan tag from DFWA because the 50-60 of them are all up on the pyramid with the shardholder while the 90ish of thier cup buddies are holding the city.

Seems that last night DFWA couldn't count on getting 100 additional allies last night so they self sieged all their cities. Tonight since all their allies have told them they can be there to save them again they have grown a pair and sieged someone. For once I would absolutely love to see DFWA siege someone or defend a siege on their own. In fact I would quit DF the next day if that ever happened. Fact is WMD loves thier pixles far to much to try anything on thier own so it will never happen I guess. Would be fun to watch them put thier money where thier mouth is though...but alas they never will fight on thier own which is why its so hard for me to think of clans like The Tenth actually swallowing thier pride and sticking with WMD that keeps pulling a HoD card out for the call in to win phone a friend option.

Actually its a little bit more confusing then that. WMD is the only one officially allied to Cairn and they "tell" the other clans in DFWA not to ally Cairn...and in fact they allow the Cairn clans to bind to thier city so they can send raids out on the other cities on Ruby. Now oddly enough though when Cairn is sieged the denizens of Ruby have to go on a fucking 30-45min raft ride to Cairn to help defend. Yet when Black's hamlet in alfar lands was sieged they didn't even bother to send 5 guys to help. Now also consider who DFWA's enemies have been.....all of them were grossly outnumbered by DFWA yet DFWA has never sieged without mercs or Cairn by thier side. Even when UDA's hamlet in dog lands was sieged they still hire mercs and called in Cairn to help storm Aradoth to kill the shard holder vs SPA despite the fact that DFWA alone outnumbered SPA.

I think that is what ppl bitch about when DFWA "brings allies" because to me an ally's name comes up in green not red/blue and won't attack you and raid your cities every other day.

I'm getting really tired of people complaining about alliances and what they do or do not do. DFwA wanted Ul'Sulak back; they got it back. You don't need to respect their methods, agree with them, or condone them. You do, however, have to deal with the outcome.

SF sieged TRA's hamlet and they made sure they had the forces to win. TRA tried to ensure their own victory by pulling in last minute allies and failed the defense anyway.

Hyperion pulled in as many members as they could and sent hundreds if not thousands of players into sieges to ensure victory. They even used underhanded tactics like spamming clan and journal pages at the server to crash it in order to defend their cities. Did anyone respect them? No. Did it matter? No, they won nearly every siege they took part in until the server manned up and joined CotC to utterly dismantle Hyperion.

Protip: No one cares if you don't respect the tactics of certain clans or alliances. Since when has respect for your enemy been a part of Darkfall? Isn't this the game where people spam 'get shit on' left and right? The fact of the matter is, unless you can figure out a way to beat your enemy regardless of what he throws at you, you will still fucking lose.

Still needed to call in half the server to take on a new alliance that is half of your current alliance's numbers to begin with. Before the shard was even dropped you had BkS and LoD/SiN all over Ruby. Why didn't you even attempt to fight them on your own....probably because you knew what the outcome would be. Ppl go to Ruby for pvp because its easy mode down there and you get free loot. The residents on Ruby have no clue how to defend themselves and consistantly need to hire mercs, call in completely separate entire alliances(not just 1 or 2 clans but like 8 or 9 clans). When DFWA has a siege and they list "Friendlies for this engagement" you litterally have to scroll to read them all.....sad.

TRA wasn't called in TRA showed because Cairn showed. From what I saw NME and Neccessary Evil were killing Blood's nakeds at that chaos stone in the beginning of the siege so is that some new ninja top secret way of helping out that I was unaware of.

They already tried that once when APEX was still in the alliance. Didn't go over well for them so they then called it a "siege defensive" alliance. But they made rules for all the clans on the island. For example: You were only allowed to farm captains at specific time slots and WMD(then GHT) had the spawn every other time, you weren't allowed to go near the crack(hand spawn that you could bug out)or you would be attacked on site and after 3 offenses your clan would be sieged, you weren't allowed to enter the spine(they didn't want ppl to know that is where SiN was porting into on the island to go on raids against WMD's allies, oh yeah and my personal favorite...."if you touch any village on Ruby you will be sieged"

Yeah sorry about the brownies thing, I thought it was black. As far as ST not asking for help that is bullshit. We ran over there 2 or 3 times a day and pushed them out and then raided Jhali.

Black did bitch a whole lot in CA about not getting help as well as S8. WMD i think was the only one that took the bank bashing lightly and didnt nerd rage everytime it happened.

Either way, that alliance has alot of good people they just need to get organized, get in the same vent, and stop treating each other like they are better than each other. Maybe with black and ST gone that will happen. Also They need to set some battle leaders. Vent is a total cluster fuck everytime a shard is dropped. When we go into battle I never even knew who was leading because there was so many people screaming. While, Undead is a great leader he is far to quiet during pvp. Get a war general and make sure he is the only one talking during fights unless its important. They dont need that entire island though honestly. They need to merge into 2 or 3 cities, and one vent and get it over with. They dont have the player base to own that entire continent anymore. Sooner or later SiN/Cairn will get tired of coming to the rescue everytime a shard is dropped. Thats my opinion and I could be wrong, but who cares. Fun all around :P

They already tried that once when APEX was still in the alliance. Didn't go over well for them so they then called it a "siege defensive" alliance. But they made rules for all the clans on the island. For example: You were only allowed to farm captains at specific time slots and WMD(then GHT) had the spawn every other time, you weren't allowed to go near the crack(hand spawn that you could bug out)or you would be attacked on site and after 3 offenses your clan would be sieged, you weren't allowed to enter the spine(they didn't want ppl to know that is where SiN was porting into on the island to go on raids against WMD's allies, oh yeah and my personal favorite...."if you touch any village on Ruby you will be sieged"

The cooldown timer is either 24 hours from the time of the drop or the time of the end of the siege(i am not totally positive on that) therefore having Clan B siege Clan A makes it so that Clan C can't siege the city for 24 hours.

In DFWA's case they knew that Cairn couldn't cum with numbers the other night so they self sieged ALL thier holdings. Last night on the other hand Cairn could cum with numbers and therefore WMD's sack dropped a little and a shard was dropped.

That night TRA acted just like Zealots normally do; They were coming regardless of anyone asking them...

...All we did was send a naked with invuln shield out to open the gate for them.

If I was interested in coordinating with TRA they would've been inside our walls bolstering our defenses from the very beginning. With the 40+ people they would've brought, I doubt our defenses would've fallen.

But no, we don't rely on a subcontinental zerg to win sieges for us, so they were told to stay out up until the point where the enemy force breached the inner cavern and I was forced to move the shard carrier because the enemy just happened to "find" him.
