Chat Boxes - how to get rid of the 500 boxes.

Well, I clicked the you-know-which button and got every chatbox ever opened back. About 500. I cant close them down manually since every time I click one, the game freezes for about 10 seconds.

I need some serious help in fixing this somehow..:\

Ctrl+W is your friend. Spam if even when DF is frozen.

I had the same thing a week ago, i've been playing since launch so...

Was also lagging each time i deleted one. Everyone i asked said there was not a special "key" for it, and you have to delete them by hand.

Atleast thats what i had to do, took me almost 2hours i'm guessing...:rolleyes:

If you scroll to the last box and begin to x from there it does not freeze your game.

The reason it was freezing was because if you X out the first box it has to move all the current boxes down on the interface causing a great use of CPU.

So they need to make their array a linked list.

drag the box you hate out so it forms another chat window and close it/
