So, what do you think about todays update (http://df.warcry.com/scripts/news/view_news.phtml?site=7&id=54699)?
The answers seem a little small and vague.

Its not dissapointing at all. Theres gonna be hundreds of spots to build. Secret Spots. Thats good. They have a very robust guild management program. Good, glad to see that is still functional.
At least its an update :sly: .

I was happy to see one of my huge heap of questions being selected. But I wonder why they selected to answer that one, when they only wanted to write a line about it. That line however, confirmed an important aspect for me at least, that rich clans, in terms of gold can't just buy structures(buildings, walls) - they need the other resources just like any other clan. Trading :)

O man that was funny, told almost nothing about the gameplay but god the way he put the choas was funny
"Its CHOAS, its custerd falling from the sky, its an arm turning into a sword, its the ability to cut open your arm and mice pour out rather then blood, its CHOAS!"
O and the update was good but rather scarce but I guess it will all add up in the end.

hmmm. ghey.com. sorry that interview showed nothing new. and those questions have been replayed SO many times.. how many ways can you ask the same questions. god... sorry but maybe ara, and the mods have only been here a year.. maybe the reason.. go read those interviews in the past. THEN. find new and usefull questions bc those are just terrible.

I though that the Q&A was good this week. I didnt mind the answer I got to my question.
Shadow Walker2020- I would like you to ask them to specifically define what
a clan stone does exactly. Its is merely a marker that allows clans to build
a city or does it grant clans special protection making all clan buildings
invulnerable?'
The clanstone is associated with town building; it's a point of gathering
for your clan, and a very important part of the town.
From what I can gather from this is that a clan stone will allow for clans to build a town and will serve in a CTF fasion like say if clan wants to take over another clans city, they will have to fight their way into that clans city and "capture" that clans clan stone or plant their flag on it or something to that effect.

How will buildable housing/town plots be marked, how will be find
them? Will buildable plots only be town/city sized, or will there be space
for a *few* hidden hideouts with only one or two houses?
You'll need to explore the map, there are hundreds of secret locations like
underwater caves, small remote islands, hidden valleys etc. You don't need
to build a town, you can have locations with just a couple of buildings.
I'm still left wondering how the plots are marked for you to realize its possible to build there.

Well it was kinda nice that they chose my question, but they missed the main point of it, ala how will you know where you can build, how are the spots "marked" so to speak, and most of all, if those spots will be marked on the the mini-map or the world map. I guess they answered in the right spirit though, if not directly. There will be "secret" spots, so I'd guess I'll have to assume that once you've built a house and/or city in at least some fo the locations, they won't pop up on any map, mini or otherwise. Hated that in SB.
That still doesn't really say if major cities & clanstones appear on the map though, and if all those "secret spots" have their own clanstones or are merely under the protection of a clanstone in the region. Are some of the buildable spots not under any clanstone's protection and are thus free to be destroyed at any time?
I really wish they'd go into more depth on this subject, but I guess I'm happy that I got a more than the one line answer that some of the other Q's got :)
Edit: and also, if you own a house but not a clanstone, can you bind there instead of at the nearest clanstone? I guess I'd really like to know how binding and ressurection works also, in depth, and especially during seiges when it may not be safe to respawn at your clanstone/house. Hopefully we'll find out first hand soon enough!

One word sums up this weeks update: Horrible.
I'm fine with no updates, but this? Two short answers? (Sorry, the first and second responses don't answer the question). Questions 3 and 4 are just clarifications of features which were previously said to exist... but atleast they are useful tidbits unlike the first two "answers".
Oh well, theres always next Friday. After this I can't say i'll be waiting for it tho.

I don't think they owe us a damn thing. And I do appreciate answers to questions 3 and 4. It's just that my appreciation for those two questions is outweighed by my disgust at the first two. For whatever reason they decided to respond without answering two of the questions. If it's information they don't feel comfortable releasing yet - fine pick another question or just answer the two questions. Regurgitating what we've known for years is pointless.
It just feels like someone made the decision to give us something since it was semi-promised in last weeks warcry update. Obviously there wasn't much time spent on this update date and in turn it comes out looking half-assed, like it was slapped together in 5 minutes. I would have been much happier with a "Sorry guys, we're busy and can't do an update this week. Maybe next week." It's somewhat of a "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt" deal. Heck, I'd be happier with nothing at all.
I'm not saying it was an easy decision or that everyone agrees with me. Whatever happens your always going to have people who are disappointed in the outcome. Anyway, I'm flogging the dead horse. Wheres my beta?! =D

I wish people wouldn't get so picky about the info that's released.
If someone gave a starving child a bowl of rice, you guys would say "Wheres the meat?!?!?!?!"
Well maybe you shouldn't be given any god damn rice at all!!!!!!!
More info will come in the coming weeks, Devs will only release what they want to so we can only wait.

That's not new. I have known that since I started following the game. Wanna know more about it? In order to "capture" the clan stone, you will need a group of people casting an interruptible spell around the clanstone for an undisclosed amount of time.
Not only are the releasing old info, they are releasing less of it then they did originally.

It's more like promising to give them food, then instead handing out a picture of food you gave them a month ago.

Geez...those answer's were in FAQ's and stuff like that, and they just copied it, because its worth as a new sentence from some dev's ? I wouldnt even call that Info, because they didnt tell much, and why the hell someone choose so dumb questions ? There's a lot more curious questions to ask...
And i hope'd to see some new screenshots

Uhhhh.....no. I think its more like dad telling you hes going to show up to your baseball game and then sending a robot of himself that churns smoke and rattles in the stands pissing off all of the other parents instead. At some point you are going to ask your dad why he even bothered if he couldnt make it. These people are dissapointed, and they are entitles to their opinions. Personally I dont really care, I know the devs are working their asses off, and thats what I would expect for people in their situation. They may not have time to go over player questions for hours after theyve been working on the game all day. The game is going to come out when it comes out, and answers will be given when they're given.
