I have the same problem... installed game, patched it and play button is greyed out. Somewhere i reads that i have to go to server list and create a char first. But when i click servers there is nothing!:-/

i downloaded the client a while ago via usenet. Maybe i have the north american client? could this be the problem?

Run the repair tool, search for its location on forums.

try reopening the client a few times, sometimes it bugs

run the installer again

If you have the same problem tomorrow, you may have to delete system32.
