Its nice to see one person returning, but shouldn't you concern yourself with keeping the 10 others who already are putting their left legs out the door?

is it that interesting that one player is returning to darkfall that deserves this attention?
i think its more important to ask the devs about the expansion rather than this.
did u guys really expected spotlight to be the News that wud have sommit everyday?.....3 days ago u didnt like the spotlight bout the darkfall promo in Athens ,you think the Devs have the patch Notes ready or they wanna release em but they didn't cuz they decided to give us news for a player returning?....
accept spotlight as a form of communication for promotion(which is needed) not as the News section.

Thanks for pointing out the good stuff DF, yeah, like how the game is so disastrously broken right now and we're all shelling out our hard earned money to be beaten down by bugs and unrighteous ways of playing.
Let us be heard, we're all uninstalling until you make it so NA is just a free sub to all those who have been playing for six months and enduring the stupidity that comes along with developing

You always hurry and want the things quick but then there is bugs.
Better they take their time, should have already done it in beta but at least now.

It means I spend half an hour getting the runestones, half an hour marking the runestones and then when they are used, they are glitched so as not to work and dissapear from my stash forever, you're kidding right? I don't have that kind of time for a game to be failing me

Marking a runestone takes 4minutes. I think going into an dungeon and using a runestone to somewhere on the map is bit stupid if you ask me. You shouldve known better.

This is a clever marketing tactic to get some Darkfall related traffic on mmorpg.com.
Sure, it's about "one" player coming back, but it's more about getting the attention of several gamers who currently do not play Darkfall.
Apparently Darkfall is one the most hit game discussions today on mmorpg.

If you read the replies to that post it looks like it generated a few extra sales and got a few more people looking at the game.
Seems a good thread to Spotlight, the more people see it the more may take a punt and buy the game.

you just made me sad again, i wished to badly that they change a bit the siege mechanics in a way that a siege would be epic and i will see like 10 mostly in 1month not 10 per day :( a siege should take planing strategical attacks and fun things like that which will take coordination to take a city not just gang bang :(

Maybe the devs could setup some type of contest/giveaway for some free trial codes over on mmorpg?
And on top of that.
Mass email 1 code to each current paid subscriber to invite a friend to try the game for free as well.

This I cannot agree with. Unfortunately I feel like a lot of people will use these free trial accounts as "secondary" accounts, many of which might be used strictly for exploiting and hacking.
Unfortunately, until they implement a 3rd party anti-hack system (which is rumored to be coming out with the expansion), all that free trials are going to do is hurt this game, in my opinion.

OP I think the community wants more news about the game not about someone coming back to the game. I for myself is going insane with boredom and considering quitting. There is not even PvP in this game anymore. Went through like 5 cities that were completely empty then gave up.
If you want to post something useful post more about the patchnotes or something else the community finds informing and interesting. Not some blog by a noob who has never been outside of the NPC cities.

If you want PvP you can get it by going to chaos cities or into an active enemy clan city. Don't complain that there's no PvP if you just want to play it safe, if I want PvP I can get it in about 10 minutes gauranteed in a few areas around our clan town on NA-1.
