Players that cannot post in the subscriber forums, and non-subscribers able to will be fixed by tomorrow. Some related account management issues are also being fixed as we speak. That's the word from the Devs related to problems some players have been facing with the subscriber forums.

My problem is with the account management and subscriber forums.

every time I try to add my forum account to my game account I click update profile information button and it tells me my address is wrong. It keeps resetting my state to Alabama.:bang: I'm in California. Every time I change it to California, it resets to Alabama..... WTF?

Hopefully they can figure it out....

You registered in Dec 2008 and you're still expecting them to get it right with the first patch?

You really think the same people who work on the game are also responsible for coding the forums and account systems?

Mate seriously, your sniping is getting old. Considering you're supposedly working on an MMO of your own, you might want to consider your commercial exposure.

We get it, stop repeating yourself.

This expansion will have its bugs just as the last did, just as pretty much any patch produced for any game by any company. Hotfixes were not invented by AV.

However, I fail to see how the trouble with the forums is in any way an indicator of how well the patch will come off.

Why won't you guys test things before releasing it?

You want them to delay things even longer? No amount of testing is going to compensate for incompetence. Better they release something, spot the bugs, and then quickly work to finish it.

Entering the design phases of a new game is more important.

Anyone having trouble, try this:

I had to set mine up twice before it worked and I think its case sensitive.

Go to your account page and to the part where you link your forum and game account. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE IT IN PROPER CASING.
Click UPDATE ACCOUNT INFO.

It's in your game subscription / account page

Stormtrooper

http://accounts.eu.darkfallonline.com is your account management page. On this page you can link your game account to your forum account. Click on 'Profile & Billing Info' and one of the last options there is: Forum login.

PS. After reading a lot of succesfull relinks I tried relinking as well, I have now access to the subscriber forums.

It is now working for me.

This is what I did:

1) Logged off these forums.

2) Went to the profile page on account site.

3) Did the "Change" forum link and typed my first name and password in and pressed the accept change option.

4) Pressed the update profile changes option (and got some weird message about my email address being the same).

5) Logged back into these forums: using exactly the same upper/lower case characters for my name and password.

It works :)

How I do my account (because I don't like recurring subscriptions) is that I pay for a month and then I stop the recurrence. Do I have to have a recurring subscription to be able to post, or just an active account?

Because that would be hard... :[ (really fucking test this shit before releasing it please. If we get an expansion and its got bank bug you will probably lose more people then get them)

https://accounts.us.darkfallonline.com/account/profile.php

All I had to do was click change, put in my forum password, and hit ok. Then I clicked "Update Profile Information" on the main page.

"L-C" worked just fine. I didn't need lower case letters.

NOT FIXED FOR ME! Attached my account a few days ago and I still can not post. Also says Alabama instead of Iowa, and it will not allow me to use Ms. instead of Mrs. so dumb.

I still cannot get my forum acct linked to my game acct. Every single time it tells me my forum credentials are incorrect...when in fact they are 100% correct.

I am starting to think its because of the ' in Sin'jin. Tried it with it, without it, without capitals etc... nothing works.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Better mail the devs/support about it then.

Maybe you can try "sin jin" or "sin\'jin" with no capital.

Thanks bro. Tried all of those...no joy. The Support team manually linked my acct yesterday and yet it still was not able to post. Thus I said fuck it and made a new one. I appreciate all the help guys. Looks like I am on 09'er for life now -p
