Well, we had one of these before and it didn't get much activity. But given the number of aspiring artists we have here now I'm putting it back.

The usual rules will apply; please don't post anything in bad taste here. However you're welcome to post your photos in line to save time.

If you lack hosting I may even turn on the attachment option for this forum (we'll see if people develop a need for it.)

For now we'll run it on a trial basis. If it works well and gets some action it'll stay, if not we'll just mass move the things back to OT and move on with our lives!

Remember; you post your work here at your own risk. If someone steals it Aventurine and their affiliates will not be held accountable. Similarly you face the risk of rejection, satire, and criticism. If you don't like these things you may not want to post your work here! (We will take all steps on our own forum software to minimize theft and general stupidity though.)

*If you post an image that's insanely large we reserve the right to edit it to a link. It would be wise to use thumbnails if you're wanting to show off your high resolution art.

**Do you want to post something that you think is questionable? Send a PM to me prior to posting it and I'll let you know if it's ok to put up here. Per standard policy I'd like to avoid black and white "this can go" and "this can stay" statements.

Ok I admit it, this makes up for the questionable lock! Well I'm shure they did it all just for you. Anyway I'm really happy to have an art forum. I just wish I could make stuff fast enough to put in all the threads going now.

Edit: lol I see the high rezz art addition, Brannoc must have seen my background post.

Here is some PhotoShop stuff I'm doing. Still very new to the program. I really want to do some more but it seems that there is always to much to focus on at once.

Should there be a signature/avatar testing thread? Basicly like a sandbox, where people can post their ongoing stuff to compare it better to other versions etc. I just found myself having to post many times to check out how something looked on the boards when trying to come up with avatars for example. Not sure if theres really a need in the long run though.

You should color it. It will take you probably even more time, but well, then it will be a true masterpiece!

I've already posted this in the forum "artwork", but thought I'd put it up here to see if I can help get this thread moving.

I thought I'd kill an hour and sketch my vision of an Alfar.

Looks very much like Dark Elf in WoW . Very good skills with the old graphite though. Don't see much of that these days. Do you have a Deviantart account ?

Thanks, the sketch was done freehand on A4 (8.5X11) paper with a 5mm mechanical pencil. Nothing special.

I really should create an account, it might actually motivate me to draw more often. I'll post a link when I get around to it.

Very sexy . Like someone else said, the hand is a little off, but other than that.. An awesome drawing. If that only took you an hour.. then heck ya! Would you be willing to draw your vision of a female Alfar or another race?

Well, I appreciate most about these compositions is that the still-life subjects are rendered in a lively attention to detail, seeming fairly realistic, yet slammed against the plane of rectangles, squares and octagons.

Something I created for a bit of fun. It's the Huegar Fortress in Mortal Online, I used the concept art from the book.

http://sadpandastudios.co.uk/gallery/2/8319b8c96e37928b59425af4c5e2213f.jpg

It was created in Cinema4D a year a go, I no longer use that program now and stick with MAYA and Zbrush.

Hope you like it.
