More player created content!

Hey Darkfallers!

The community had fun with the first player organized event and it ended up being a success!
You can read about the winner and how the event went here (http://forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php?t=219545) or check out the thread that was running during the Event here (http://forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php?t=219496).

Now, we are really happy to see that more events are already being worked on by other members of the community.
Kudos to the players showing so much initiative!
Currently it seems there is a Halloween Event (http://forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php?t=219560) (EU), a Gladiator
Event (http://forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php?t=219550) and also a server wide tournament (http://forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php?t=219247) (EU) in planning by Radio Star/Ged Candlestar, Rana-Quene and Evaner respectively. Maybe the "Thunderdome" in one of the Chaos Cities is going to be put to good use for the Gladiator Event?

This is all interesting and all , but cant you people get information on what is going on with transfers? it's late and beeing ingored , you guys from the comunity are the only ones that gave a slight update awile back .. no admin what's so ever , are they that ingorant? how the hell are people suposed to know if they should buy an extra month on EU server or not.. my subscription is almost issued , should i buy an extra month? or is that what AV wants have us NA players buy an extra EU month for nothing then suddenly start the transfer and make us loose are "1 extra month we bought on EU for nothing " instead of beeing able to wait to buy on NA but without a date or ETA , were getting screwed both ways ... ither stop playing and wait or pay for nothing.

So many assumptions...

1) Yes, it would be nice to get an update.

2) Why would you assume that you will get double billed for the month of transfer?

3) If you don't want to play the game, don't renew. If you want to play the game, renew. If you don't want to play the game until transfers, renew then.

It's really that simple. Problem is you are using the same flawed "group logic" that people like to repeat over and over again despite the fact that there is no basis for it. Examples: Why do we need to buy the client again in order to transfer? Why do only the 90 AOE spells get a shared cool down? Why do I need to pay double for the month I transfer to NA?

What's wrong with you people?

I'm thinking about running an event similair of a movie i seen, the movie was about like 10 of the strongest and dangerous prisoners which they all droped on one island, the goal for them was to kill eachother and if you was the last man standing on the island you would be free from prison, was a realy great movie and might be a good idea of an event for darkfall except for the prison thing etc and the reward would be money and the gear.

When there are official announcements for people playing the game as a sandbox game, you know that there is something wrong.

Please...These events are some of the first to be arranged (yeah yeah i know there are probably others) so it is no surprise that the devs want to draw our attention to them.. Maybe they are hinting that before we moan about more content... we should USE WHAT IS THERE

All those events are arranged by newbs and one is arranged by a thief who has stolen a ship and a guild vault.. The events are not meaningful and I would much rather have demi-god events with developers steering epic monsters that drop 50 tombstones of loot all across the area.

What's wrong with you people?

In my opinion, you are being naive while thinking other are fools. There is reason to think AV hopes many will pay an NA monthly subscription when having paid an EU monhtly subscription. With no information, it's as reasonable as not thinking AV will do it. They are guesses both ways. If I look at how things were done when the NA server opened, I have no reason to believe official transfers won't imply unknown costs.

Thunderdome is an awesome place for that gladiator event, it's the best place I know to 1v1.
