dunno if u will like this one felidaeus as with alot of the custom fonts the ae thing u have doesnt work. few diff variations of some diff fonts + styles and positions. if u want a difffont with diff posiotion or w/e or atyle let me know and i will fiddle.

Hey. I would like to request a sig. I'm thinking about the Japanese imperial flag (you know the one with the sunrays) and instead of the sun in the middle there will be a red eye.

Why? I belive it's a nice combination of my forum namn and where I now live (Japan).

Hey Aranin, I'd be interested to see what you can come up with for me as a sig. I've never asked someone to make me a sig before (made all my own obviously), but I like what you do a lot.

Pretty much open season, really. Name is two words and guild is "House of Sagacious" if you want to put that in there. I like reds, greens and purples, but that doesn't mean you need to use them all. And I'm female, so please no hulking warrior types.

That's actually really cool bensidhe. A few touch ups if possible would be awesome.

Could you move the bottom text to the right margin? It would flow along the cloud a bit better. Lastly could you make the name all caps? FELID[/I]

I'll see what I can come up with, unfortuneately, that font doesn't allow caps, its just way that one comes :cool: ..I'll see what else I can come up with.

I'm doing a quick test here, It seems that every time I put this text in the rest gets cut out. sigh. It doesn't work

Anyway, thanks a bunch bensidhe. The text I keep trying to paste is the funky AE that you can see in my old sig. Could you use that if at all possible? Thanks.

Yeah, it's only supposed to be 150px high, by board rules. ;)

The sig itself is pretty straightforward. I would recommend turning on your background grid (or doing it by sight) and aligning the text elements. It will make your sig look cleaner. Maybe try making the shield graphic the same height as your "angelmar / the beleaguered / winter council" text stack.

hehe thanks ben compliments from u mean alot, i only wish i could throw u a photoshop copy to see what u could do with it rather than GIMP.

i think i've improved a little recently, been using texturing alot more than usual and its had some nice effects.

I think I could do a lot more with GIMP than I currently do. I don't invest a huge amount of time in sigs as I like to work large, and the details get lost in the small footprint of sigs. I've been playing with grunge and other brushes , adding layers ,etc. If Iever get serious about doing PC graphics PS is definitley a tool I will use. For now tho',its PSP 10 and The GIMP ;) . Budget graphics on a working man's budget . In RL I'm getting set for a summer of airbrush projects . I can get free "canvases" from my job and I can use their paint booth for clear coating, etc. I work in a sign shop :) .

I dont really know any other style other than "grunge" so that'll have to do looking for somthing thats eye poping cool looking border not just the 1-2px black/white border a cool render of a orc or somthing RPG themed um background can be whatever no cutesy bullshit though.

Yep, called ya a newbie :D "to these forums" . Your join dates and post count are giveaways . People as a general rule usually make one request and let it be at that, as what I stated b4 is true.Those of us who make sigs don't always have time or sometimes don't want to make them for whatever reason . Thats human nature, and we sure as hell don't get paid for it, nor do we look for coinage . If someone chooses to make a sig , be grateful for it, or if you're in such a hurry, download trial versions of Photoshop CS, PSP 12, or the GIMP and give it a go. Btw, this is probably as polite a reply as you'll get around here. Darkfall forums are a Troll's paradise . So relax, don't push it, and when someone so chooses, a sig will be made, or not. ;)

Ok this may seem like the lazy way out, but honestly I have tried using programmes like PhotoShop but I just don't seem to have a talent for it and after seeing some of the stuff you guys are producing I thought I might as well try here.

I'm looking for something related to my intended Mirdain Character, Angaráto. If possible I would like the character name on it with a male Mirdain/Elf archer, bow drawn, in a forest like background.

I actually just started using this stuff about six months ago, I use Gimpshop, which is free, so if you want to start doing this for yourself you can Google Gimpshop (I forget where I downloaded it, I think you can get it off of plasticbugs.com) You could easily become as good as, if not better than me

Hi, im currently forming a new guild ready for Darkfall. Im currently Guildmaster of a very successful horde guild in another game (can you guess which one) and expect to bring guys/gals over from there when the game hits!

The guild will be called 'Dogs of War'. Im stuck on 2 possible themes, because im unsure of the race to be until i see some more race information :

1. Contains the race Alfar, with a background of a battlefield and the guild name in there..

2. Contain the race mahirim, possibly wielding a weapon (kinda in your face looking style) and the guild name in there. Background possibly landscape.

Thanks in anticipation, sorry if im asking too much i just simply suck at art :bang:

[edit] oh and yes, the link between the guild name and being mahirim is meant to be a pun :)

constellation i think you sdhould work on how you do your borders.
in my personal opinion the sig you created above would look alot better if the border was more colour coded with the rest of the sig or maybe even cleaner/simpler.

i usually try to either keep my borders very simple, like above ^ or to keep them in the same theme as the rest of the sig without them being to abrassive or distracting form the image itself, eg- my ToD one below.

but hey thats just me.

This isn't humorous, but I did combine wolves and skulls and use a wolf skull.

I was just trying to muck around and make something grungy looking. If you don't like it, or if you want something different, no need to use. I can make something funny if you tell what elements you want.

Hello, I am looking for a sig for my darkfall clan, Sangre. Our clan sign is a black rose and the only real rule for our sigs is that each one must incorporate a black rose. Other things that I would like included is it has to have my name and in some way tell that I am the clan leader, also it must have Sangre somewhere on it. Sangre means blood in spanish if that helps with any possible ideas you might have. Lastly, if theres any additional room to fit "A rose by any other name wouldn't smell as sweet." I'd really like that aswell. Thanks a ton, and if I need to be more specific just tell me.

Added the sword to make the middle less bare, took out one brush and added the "sparkly things" to make it look cooler. Can also be changed/altered for a clan if needed, name can be shrunk/replaced. And yes, that is your name as the background, don't squint :D.
Oh and personally I like the guy behind the last text, but if you want he can be on top of it all.

I like that, I do.... but I feel it's missing something still.

Mr.Met is perfect, the cigar is a perfect choice and it came out amazing. The stadium in the back as well is dope, I don't understand the blur but I figure it might have to do with the fade effect.

Can the DoK be put in more creative, the same way as my current sig has it now is great, but maybe with a more smoky effect. Just looks a bit stamped there is all. Also there isn't enough going on, but after seeing what you did, ideas started coming into popping into my head finally. Do you think we can make the stadium on fire with Mr.Met in front just how u have him? Of course I don't want Shae on fire and I rather use Yankee Stadium instead. Here are some picks that might be fun for you to ignite... Also can you stick in there (Next stop your house) or maybe that might be cheesy, can I see it with and without that line? Also maybe we can have someone jumping out the window, maybe like a hard to see stick figure, just to add a more dramatic effect. If it's not to small with the #2 on his back, since that's Jeter. On fire is fine as well if you want.

Here are some pics of yankee stadium I think you can smoke up the walls and set it on fire better.

By the way, I like this one a lot because it's crisp and clean and I would like to have this one as well, but can we just make the DoK look diff as i said before.

Most of us use Photoshop, or "The GIMP" . Other popular choices are Painter, MS paint, Corel Paint Shop Pro,and a few other free paint/image editors out there .
To see what the capabilities of The GIMP are go here . (http://gug.sunsite.dk/) Then log into the gallery . For Freeware it can do some pretty cool stuff .

Well I could change the background color and texture (to make it look icey) but for some reason I like the background...if you really want it super icey I can try, but I made you Christmas and brightened the text/swords. I think it looks better than the current one, but eh, maybe you don't like snow :sly:.

I've actually been in doubt about using the f-word in there, didn't really like putting it in a sig, but I wanted to go with that phrase and this seemed to make the desired impact. "Away with thee, paper and scissors" doesnt quite have the same ring to it.

Ok, I would make this myself, but atm I have a mouse that is so fucked up I cant draw a straight line for more than a milimeter. I would like:

-Earthtoaster
-A witty remark somewhere.
-A picture to go along with it

Example (you coudl do this example cause its kewl): Earthtoaster, Peace the old fashoined way with a small sword/dagger inside a circle making it look like a peace sign.

Since this thread seems to still be active I'll post a request here. It'll be a few months until I get home and am able to play with graphics again. If anyone is up to the challenge of creating a sig with an ork blacksmith working over an anvil, pounding out my name from some nice metaly font, feel free to give it a go. Once I am home at the end of Sept I'll contribute a few sigs for anyone needing them.

Here's something, Supreme. See if it works for you. I don't think I could get Yankee Stadium on fire with Derek Jeter leaping out of a window on flames, if you scaled it down to sig size and everything. So I did the next best thing which was put a picture of Jeter yelling in pain and set him on fire.

It's a ridiculous sig and very busy, but it's something.

I would like to request a signature (I suck at designing :P).

My character will be a Female Mahirim Ship Builder in the Guild...Unnamed Merchants Guild :P But the guild name doesn't matter yet... Anyways here's how I would like it:

- On the left, A Female Mahirim (Head OR Full + Ship Building Hammer or whatever, something similar)
- On the right, A boat of some sort...Showing my "special" Crafting profession.
- In the middle, Either a nice lake/sea/ocean background or...my favoirite...a dragon...but it doesn;t HAVE to be :P Bonus for anyone that does make one with one ^^;; (Can be any dragon you find cool ;) I'm not too picky.)
- The text: Bigish, Damika | Smaller underneath, Mahirim Ship Builder

If this isn't too much to ask for...please create it! I would be eternally greatful :D

The name for a background didn't look right with your name...so I just added a little purple fire look like it's imprisoning dragons...idk...

Well, I desperately wanted a sig that would reflect both my intrest in the Mahirim race, and the appreciation for my guild (the brotherhood of assasins)
I tried for about an hour and a half, and I got nothing. If someone could help me that would be much appreciated.

Here's my first run through with your sig. Just a slight difference between the two on the top edge.

EDIT: Eh...the top of the second one looks like crap. Replaced it with a black line border.

Looks good BUT one small problem... Our name isn't Unnamed Merchants :P If you clicked the link you'd see that we were looking for one ;) But SO FAR the final name is "Brotherhood of the Hammer" :) So that ONE small change.. then it will be perfect :P

And Kaorn, since you tried hard, and I like both signatures...I will use yours on the guild forums :) Since it doesn't have the guild name on it and I cant possibly see how that could be added....thanks for the help guys! :)
