A long way it has been, since dark swept the lands of where I was born. I keep asking the same question... Am I a man? Or a monster...
How did I get this far, I am a Wraith. Perhaps a soldier who forgets who he once was; I gaze down for a drink and look into myself; I am hollow, a mere reflection of nothing. I gaze down at my sword, for it is hollow as I am. Sharp and deadly...
I put out the fire; I begin to gaze down a rocky ride. I cannot identify all I know is drift down there.
My cloak covers me, with my light armor underneath; with not a single scratch on it. Fire wreaths within me, again hollow as I am it stays with me. My armor and cloak and longsword consist of shades and hues. There's no color to me.
I glide down the stony ledge, like feather calm and swift I am. What I observered happened to be a gnoll. He's tieing his spear, but I will end it all.
I never appreciated a gnoll, even through my anemia I always disliked them. Transparent and hollow I would appear to even a man with an eye such as a bird of prey. And in the shadow right in front of the gnoll I would observe him.
Pity, for a great hunter, the foolish dog never looked up once at where I was, though you couldn't see me. I still had a faint odor.
As he was fashioning his spear, but I wouldn't allow this to happen; I would reach down and touch the rope where the rock blade met the carven pole. It would smolder.
The gnoll would soon wizen up. He didn't know where I was but he knew I was close. I found it amusing that he would never sniff the air; I would soon come out of my stealth abilities. And here stood before him, Wraith. Maybe an apparition to him, but I was an enemy. He would lunge at me with ferocity, easily, I sidestepped his attack.
He wasn't worthy of my blade, I made haste to summon a firestorm. He would make for a fast retreat. Then like a flash, he was gone, wounded and to die.
Back to my stealth, I would roam through the woods. Up over another ledge, and down a hill. To a town, it possessed to familiarity. A quaint; dry town, buzzing with aristocracy and wealth; all for the riches and not for the poor, amusing I would have my fun.
This time, a wall of flame is what I would use to split the corrupt town in half. Chaos would persue; none to put the fire out.
Rain came and I let the fire extinguish. Order and the proper actions would be taken to ensure a safer town. Perhaps now they will see the corruption coming from their own hands.
Back into the fields I would wander; often I rather not be bothered. Night would fall, I realized one thing. It will be born, I said to myself. We will exist...
My power is only limited to one person; I'd gaze at the night sky and remove my cloak. My eyes where blue; I could be seen. I loved the stars and at that moment I said to myself I must assemble a wide array of elite warriors and mages; but who are this solo acts I must unify?
Who are you? I gazed down into a puddle...
