When you scroll over a character their name, guild and health bar pops up. Why not have a guild flag too? It adds such personality when you scroll over someone and see what kind of tag they have created and call their own.

ya and you should also be able to change the color on armor, since darkfall doesn't have stealth why shouldn't it have camo. It's the most realistic thing to have.

Seriously though, I see the ability to upload images as clan banners as something that would have to be pretty strictly monitored. If Aventurine can do it, then it would work great, otherwise...

Why monitor that? There are guilds with names like "Not shit, like you." I think I saw a guy with the name 'FUCKU BACK' the other day. But anyway I wasn't suggesting uploading pics, they could have an in game art system like SB did.

Because the game is rated PGEI 16+ (according to mock-up box art on Aventurine's website), not 18+, and because a dick on a flag is pretty explicitly against the EULA?

This is a game for mature players. The only thing I could see them remove would be racist pictures and like beastiality and stupid shit like that.

Regardless, there'd always be something to monitor for - failing to remove copyrighted material, for instance, would net a rather large lawsuit for Aventurine, and that's not something anyone wants to see.

As for why uploaded banners - they were part of the original concept, and would set Darkfall's clan garb apart from the cookie cutter tabards of games like WoW. In general, it would be awesome.

Perhaps a submission queue where a clan's SG uploads a picture and, following some time period (say a week or two) during which it is reviewed, it is added to the clan's minipage and can be stamped onto special clan banners (or tabards, but I like the idea of having standard-bearers)?

I know, you said you saw a guy named "FUCKU BACK". He's taking a risk there; I know a couple players who were given three day bans and forced to change their character name based on its contents.
