View Full Version : Visual effects during ship combat.

Have you ever seen Master & Commander? There's a lot of cool stuff that makes ship fighting at night, or in the fog, a lot of fun.

- Flame and smoke from barrels.
- Splash effects from missed shots would be nice too. Would also help to show range.

How about we just get to the stage where ships can actually move faster than a turtle, and the cannons don't do piss poor damage like 5-10 damage. Also give us reasons to use ships. Monsters, Water villages etc.... Than we can worry about details.

I would rather see plenty of ports on the coast where you can buy stuff and sell in far away port for profit, water villages sound a bit lame.
I am would love to see a change to cannon mechanics: do much more damage including alive targets but shoot much slower something the lines of XV-XIX cannons.
Speed boost and wind affecting differently different types of ships would be great as well.
