View Full Version : Darkfall Developer Credits

Over the years that Darkfall was in development, there was a lot of speculation about the people behind it. Apart from a handful of names that were out in the open, the rest of the team remained anonymous, and for some people, non existent.
With today's update to the Aventurine website (http://www.aventurine.gr/), the Darkfall Developer Credits (http://www.aventurine.gr/games/credits.html) are now posted, giving all those nameless developers, well... a name!

Jade El Mehdawi
Tasos Flambouras
Claus Grovdal
Kjetil Helland
Spiros Iordanis

That reads more like a raid boss list than a dev team.
WTB badass name.

Razorwax was the original devteam name, when they were based in Norway.
So the entire core devteam are norwegians.
They just moved to Greece and merged into AV.

By core devteam, I mean the devs that worked on DF from 2000-02.
Before the merger with AV.

Hehehe, nice so they are publically claiming responsibility. It could be dangerous.
In all seriousness, I love the game. It had its issues but it is getting very close to what was promised.

Based on that list, AV should really invest in a few more programmers.

Songs are really peculiar.
I have a doubt. This composer is currently working for the music of DF at a future or worked in past?

KUDOS to the best Developer Team i´ve ever seen. They are doing changes which make sense, the community likes to see. They build worlds wich are working, with that much diversity at look, flora, mobs, i´ve never seen before.
Also the best Working Open-PvP, Full-Loot word i´ve ever seen.
Apart from the Balancing problem with magic(too strong AoEs) vs other types of combat, everytrhing works nearly perfect. I like the Melee, the mounted Combat and all the rest.
Make Sieges just a bit more versatile, involving more ships, warhulks, cannons - siege-equip and make the walls of many city to REAL walls, where u can not just run past ;)
Just awesome work!
Thank you very much!;)

Tought there were a little team but not that tiny. Less people than in most of the projects i managed... Anyway, even without theses extra informations, i am really impress with AV job till the very beginning
For example, when they choosed to limit the number of players at first and slowly increase it to be able to handle was really a proof of a wise and long term developpement cycle. Another example was the "lack of communication". In fact they were just talking when they had something real to announce and not spending time in promising chitchat.
Well, that is said, kudo to you all, don't burn out and keep this good show !!
Thank you

I did a little checking on the web and apparently she is a married lady who is also something to do with the greek modern pentatholon committee or something.
I would surmise that this lady is the wife of one of the main darkfall investors who was given a seat on the board to keep an eye on his large investment.

better job done already then most other mmo-teams,
your netcode have to be one of the best ones (remembering, Warhammer Online had problems in the beginning with 20vs20 ...).
Keep up!
