So most of the people I used to play with no longer play, I figure I need a clan. My toon is a human.
Let me get all the bad stuff out of the way:
1) I can only play for a few hours a day (between 6-9pm EST) for 3-5 days a week. Trust me, this bothers me more than it bothers you.
2) Vent/TS must not be a strict requirement because my hearing is not too perfect. I can log on to listen to orders when required but I'd rather not use Vent all the time just to listen to random jokes. It's a bit of a strain, and chances are you'd have to repeat the jokes slowly and clearly for me to get them, anyway. This is another one that definitely bothers me more than it bothers you, even if it gives me an excuse to pretend not to listen to certain things people say every now and then. ;)
3) I'd prefer clans that are part of sizable alliances. My play hours are not exactly prime time in NA so I tend to miss out on the hours when most of the people are online... in a small clan that would mean I'd gain little benefit from joining... I understand that my limited play time may not be ideal for large scale PvP operations, but I want a clan for the teamwork (be it crafting or skirmishes or PvE), not for the clan tag or for the chat channel or whatever. I want to actually play cooperatively with people. (Preposterous! :p)
Now on to the good stuff:
Been playing DFO since launch (well, as soon as I could get a copy, anyway)... rerolled on NA1 from EU1 and canceled my EU1 account the day NA1 launched.
I'm up for mostly anything, though I guess gathering and large-scale PvP might be too much for my play time. Don't think I'm a great PvPer but I'm not one to wuss out of a fight either. No need to go over the basics or worry that I'll get pissed when I lose a fight or some random item. I'm a long time MMOG player and I tend to favor the ones with a risk factor (EVE comes to mind).
I'm looking for good fun fights that I may win or lose, not chasing the holy grail of maxing out stats so I can flex my e-peen. Above all else, I'll always put up the best fight that I can and die exactly where I'm told to. :p
So, shoot me a PM if you are interested or want any more information... If I still haven't scared you away with the "3 hours a day, no Vent!" talk, then you must be the no-bullshit clan I'm looking for. :p
