We won't make it a habit of spotlighting specific threads from the suggestions forum in order to avoid creating misconceptions or feeding speculation. We will however include posts from this forum in the Aventurine internal newsletter and we'd also like to spotlight the forum itself and encourage the community to post in it.
Finally, wenever possible and relevant, we'll address some of the hot topics discussed in the suggestions forum and give some developer feedback on them.
Feel free to point us to your favorite suggestions by replying within this thread.

Make metal mines also drop rare ore more pvp and solo players have chance of getting rare ore also.
Remove towers by wild banks it make them hot spots for pvp.
Remove nodes from Race towns make them craft only plus introduce fluff in towns so we could have fun.
Make more secret spots with chests and better mobs.
Make bows more intresting so can compete with magic plus crafting up to rank 80 bows like staffs now you almost don't have people even walk with silverbranch becouse way to expensive.

I would like to see some kind of TELESCOPE added into jeweler. When looking though the telescope you can't see player names. This idea would be cool for scouts,look outs and people on ships but I wouldn't want people to take to much advantage with these item.

I can't find the thread at this point, but I made a simple suggestion to change the sound effect on heal other at 75+ skill.
Basically, the spell starts out sounding like an explosion (which makes no sense for a heal)
at 25 it becomes 2 explosions
at 50 it changes to a pleasant healing chime (3x)
at 75 it changes to a ridiculous and extremely annoying explosion (4x)
surging it plays the same ridiculous explosion 5x.
My recommendation is to make healing spells sound like you're doing something beneficial to someone. Currerntly it sounds like you're demolishing a building.
I have actually had people run away from me after I healed them, and I think the reason is that it sounded like I was blowing them up.

Il try my best, to express the main things to implement.
Long ago, we were promised adventure, an economy system suported by crafting and all of it roleplay friendly.
All 3 points are not quite accomplished yet. (Some solutions following)
Problem - The fun of adventure is only based on fighting mobs and finding randomly spawned treasure chests. There arent enough players to fill the wilderness. Dungeons are too simple and sometimes their entrances are a gamebreaking portal in middle of nowhere.
Solution - Include those migrating mobs and make them carry interesting stuff on their trips that you can grab.A fire dragon or other mobs raiding some npc/player city/hamlet temporarily would be epic.
Implement local banking so that it forces trade routes by ship and caravan, thus filling the roads and putting those bloodwallers on the wilderness.
Include some secretly spawned items and pimp those dungeons with puzzles, triggers and other mechanisms or simply make them hard to navigate and survive. Also remove those portal style dungeon entrances, make the entrances environment friendly.
Problem - There isnt any decent economy system yet, its all based on gathering, crafting and selling your goods in a trade channel that nobody pays attention to. Economy is globalized due to global item banking, you can expect the prices for metal armor be the same in a metal rich mountain province as in a desert city with no common resources.
Solution - Put rare resources available in hotspots far from npc city protection.
Create a big marketsquare in each capital city or clan cities that has trading stalls for renting, players rent them for limited time and display the goods there with price tags ready for purchase.
Keep the universal gold banking between npc cities and create an upgrade called "bank connection" for player cities to purchase to allow gold transfers.
Keep the item banking local with the possibilitie of moving them from town to town in player and npc protected trade routes, ships or caravans.
Almost over.
The most important update would be the implemention of floating text above heads. WHY?
Because nobody pays attention to a channel that glows green inside a small chatbox, who has tried to talk to somebody in public and doesnt get answers? Yep.
- Floating text above heads Uo style, in 3 modes:
-Normal Mode could be seen up to 100 meters of the speaker.
-Whisper Mode could only be seen 3 to 12 meters from the speaker (so you could speak to ambush party without getting spoted).
- Yell Mode could be seen up to 1km or more of the speaker and couldnt be overused or you would lose your voice.
(also the more loud the mode it is the more big the words appear, text duration above heads depends on size)
By the way Charybdis should have stone roads not dirt roads that are unworthy of a cultured capital mirdain city and the name of the city in the billboard near the airship tower at the city entrance is misspelled.

Bag and satchel labels - allow custom labels to be added to bags on creation similar to creators name. once done unable to be changed.
Bank safe deposit boxes - sub sections of clan banks that you can grant access to your clan mates without giving them access to the whole bank,
allowing leaders to dump things in for them to take out.
localized banking - leaving alliance banking global for all player cities in an alliance, global banking for racial alliance, non alliance banks unable to be accessed, chaos / non tower cities having their own banks not connected to the global ones. Housing having a impervious safe, but not linked to the global system.

1. Recycling (now no reason get banded/scale from corpses), because no room in bank.
2. Make siege faster, remove lost from shardholder disconnect. Its realy shit.
3. Every holding must have income in gp/timber/ore (need reason get more holdings). Very important feature.

Why europe get this on daytimes while US get maintenance/patch when there sleeping this is very unfair to europeans players we have already suffer most from downtimes.
We europeans should also have our maintennace/patches early mornings like US players.

Bag labeling. That you can type a small text as a labeling on bags, so clanbanks etc. can be more systematical and easy to browse. It would even do, with just a few letters, as long as there's something else than just colours.

I dont like the faq that we are forced to take offensive spells. Maybe with a cap, we could just cap melee and some buff and totally forget about those offensive spells. Im suppose to play like a berzerker and offensive magic ruin it for me.
And finally, players with robes are the one who are suppose to abuse offensive magic. Players without robes should lose a lot of mana like other mmorpg's use to do and add cast sec if you dont wear a robe.

One thing that would be cool in Darkfall is the ability to have duels that couldn't possibly be interrupted. Maybe a spell or an item that sends you and a willing participant into an instance. I realize Darkfall is against typical instances but this is something different that would potentially add something valuable and popular to the game. Then people would really have a chance to prove they're the best or just to settle a score.

Reconsider the use of staffs.
-Maybe allow some magic schools (or individual spells) to be casted while wielding a bow/melee weapon.
*The effect could be to a lesser degree or maybe it should cost more mana, or maybe no penalty at all
-Perhaps make certain spells act differently if wielding a bow/melee weapon. Mana missile with a bow would add a mana cost to the shot but perhaps make the arrow fly faster, etc.
It is just rediculous to have to wield a staff to be able to do any sort of magic. Magic is within the person, players should be able to cast minor spells without a staff. The staff should be necessary for higher level magics though, as the magic needs a proper way to be channeled.
*Maybe COMPLETELY REMOVE staff requirement for all spells, but make any advanced spells extremely weak without a proper staff (-90% damage, etc.).
This just makes the game more realistic, imo

I was trying to say that i don't want to see more then 1 additional player on the mount. If you'd want more then 1 person the whole idea of the rider having to accept players onto his mount doesnt work either. Having multiple people on the mount and then reducing it's speed would just create another form of useless warhulk.
So 1 rider, 1 guy on the crossbow which has to request for a ride and be accepted by the rider. (lol taxi services i just thought of another way to make money,.. transporting tourists to the pretty areas of Agon.)
My idea was creating a mount with similar HP's to a battlehorn, crossbow which does between 25-30dmg a shot and can only shoot to the sides in an angle of say 40degrees to 140degrees. In order to shoot left or right you'd use the existing lean commands "Q" and "E". Incase the mount got caught in close combat the rider could still cover the frontal and rear attacks (current mount attacks) And the passenger could cover the sides with his/her crossbow.
Ever have to go AFK for food or a drink and have your friends wait untill your back before moving towards that remote place on the map? No longer, just ask one of your friends for a ride and hope they don't ride into a fight while you're AFK.

Basically it was good idea with encumberances being connected with armor type (giving you different resists and with different cost to produce it).
May be something like this:
- Magic from 0 encumberance with robes on at 0% armored casting skill to 0 encumberance with leather on with 100% armored casting.
- Archery same thing from studded to banded armor
- Melee same thing from scale to infernal armor
Not sure about dragon set, can be something specific at all.
Basically 3 types of armour you can wear with zero encumberance for each combat style.
And some cost-based balance for armor sets. Because i'd say full plate and infernal (if we take them as kinda basic for melee style) are too expensive. (Or just make it somehow easier (not same as easy) to obtain for regular inhabitants of Agon.
I think it's very easy and fast to implement, and it will change DFO balance noticeable in a very positive way.

I'd definately like to see dyeable armor, cloaks, and guild emblems put into the game.
I would also like to see an AOE bow shot that youd have to aim up like a volley, special damage arrows, shield styles, more melee styles.
Better journal and clan interface with less lag and more user friendly. The ability to set guild rank names and permissions such as the ability to manage binds, so that SGs arent the only ones that can manage binds.
Overhead chat for very close encounters, as many times in the heat of battle people will not read public chat.
Boss monsters in dungeons/camps with unique loot tables.
More interactive dungeons such as the pulling of levers, burning of barrels, treasure rooms after killing boss monsters, secret passages accessed by pushing bricks, or walking through walls.
Lances for mount fighting that allow the knocking back off of a horse (obviously not 100% chance)
Also new nodes such as gold/silver/copper oak/redwood mandrake/archangelica/etc etc
New weapons introduced such as flails and whips with longer ranges and more of a cone hit box.
I would also like to see traps built into the game along with a skill line for building and placing them. - Oil fields, holes covered with branches, trip wires triggering spiked swinging logs.
I would also like to see buffs last longer. Id like to see useable items with charges similiar to some potions.
Id like to see mutliple colors for mounts, and mount armor.
And last but not least an alternate advancement system based on points gained for pvp kills/ city takes. skills would be picked similiar to the dark age of camelot Realm Rank system, where you accumulate points and then chose what to spend them on rather than having to purchase useless items and follow a skill tree to get to the skills you want. The skills purchased with these points would be unique to the game and would incude skills like super sprint, mount leap (with the chance to knock a person off their mount), group heal, instant full heal, instant group heal, cone effect special AE melee attacks with magic mixed in such as a power attack flame wall, purge all negative, horse gallop, whirlwind on horse, super swim, passive str/vit/dex/wis/int/quick bonuses...

I would love to see some sort of ARAC penalties. That said, since there have been no penalties thus far in the game, you should give players the option of race-swapping (one-time only) so clans and friends can stay together.

This has propably been suggested before, but once more cant hurt :cool:
Trading trough trade chat is frustrating and unpractical. So how about adding one local auction houses for each race to get kind of like market hub for each race. It would add more player interaction. And if they are going to add local banking there would be lot of caravan activity on these areas.

Пожалуйста, доработайте систему телепортов у данженов.
Сейчас фармеру в данже достаточно добежать до телепорта и, нажав alt+ctrl+del убить процесс darkfall.exe
сделайте хотя-бы 10-15 секунд ожидания, прежде чем вы входите в телепорт.
Plz elaborate the dungeons system teleports.
Now Farmer in dung enough to run to the teleporter and pressing alt+ctrl+del to kill the process darkfall.exe
Do-while to wait 10-15 seconds before you enter the teleport and, so, escape u loot and other things.
