This program fixed my dc issues so I thought I would share with everyone else. This might have been posted already but I don't like searching and reading all the threads about this subject. Just download and set on sync every minute.

Or this one for free:

It works. Since I used it I have yet to see the "lost connection..." screen once.

to my mind, i took an old wifi driver (7.6.0.126) for my atheros AR5007EG. On my computer the version 7.7.0.231 is crashing the system and the 7.3.1.73 give me the famous error: lost connection to server (2)
hope it helps,
have fun

The lost connection to server #2 issue is quite often related to the time loosing sync. Such a tool could help to stop that from happening. If some more people try it please post here if it helped you or not.

I used the time sync app free one, tardis 2000, and it worked.
I use Vista 64bit.
This seems to have solved my lost connection to server issues.
Also, For fps lag,
I updated my graphic drivers to newest build after I uninstalled using the graphic drivers uinstaller, and then I used the free app I think called Driver Sweeper, or something like that in safe mode, then restarted and installed the new graphics drivers I had installed earlier with the cable for internet not connected, then restarted.
Also, I have an Ati card, but installed the Physx Engine card drivers for it, as a game I have needed it. And guess what, it raised my frames per second a bit, or at least the average when it dips.

What fixed my disconnection issue was the replacement of my modem. I got my Motorola Modem replaced with a Webstar. The tech that came to my house said that the Motorola modems kept failing so every time he sees one he switches them out. Although my previous modem seemed to be working properly it would often lose connection for 10-15 seconds just enough for me to get disconnected from Darkfall.
If you are unsure if it's your modem try this simple test.
Go to Start -> Run
Type "cmd" in the "Open" line and press Enter
In the command line type "ping www.darkfallonline.com -t" (it could be any site you want I would recommend just using this one) The "-t" makes it continuous.
Keep this running. Once you get disconnected or you experience lag spikes Alt-tab out to your command prompt and see if you're getting any "Server timed out"'s
If you get 1 "Server timed out" here and there and it was at the same time your game was lagging then it could be your modem. (The IP for the game and the IP for the site are different) If you get 4-5 in a row and it was at the same time you got disconnected from Darkfall, contact your isp and ask them for their most reliable modem.
Worked for me.

I had this problem for a while, as well as huge ping spikes 10k+. It would happen whenever I turned on utorrent or bitlord (even if I wasn't downloading anything), and wouldn't go away even if I closed the program.
I managed to fix it by reseting my modem and manually getting a new IP address, now I have 50ms ping constant.
All I had to do was enter the command lines
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
after that everything was fixed (unless I turn on a torrenting program again.)
Dunno if it is the same issue for others, but it worked for me.

@Loadafreak
Try going into your router setting, and close Pnp, or close the ports that bitlord or torrent uses, because when you open the program it automatically starts using that port range to upload, and or download anything you have downloaded, or started to download.
Usually your modem will have settings in it like this as well, or look into windows firewall exceptions and check the TCP, UDP restrictions.

I don't use a router, but I'll try it anyways :D

I didn't have the Lost connection problem in the first place but I tried the other way around, I desynced my time and I got DC'ed :p, so it's seems that the time have some importance here :sly:. My time is now synced and I have not noticed any difference before the experiment or after, I will write another post if I find out something.

rplies form darkfall support
-----------------------
Hello,
Please make sure that no other programs are using your connection. Also make sure that your computer is free of spyware or malware software that could be causing you to have connection problems.
Also make sure that you add lobby.exe and darkfall.exe to the exclusion list of your firewall and antivirus.
You can also try:
* Outgoing TCP to ports 21000 to 21005
* Outgoing TCP to port 80
* Outgoing UDP from local port 32500 to server port 21000 to 21010
We have also noticed that your audio drivers are from January 2007. Outdated drivers have been known to cause game issues; please upgrade your drivers after verifying the above settings.
Thank you,
Darkfall support

If your having a time sync problem with Vista:
right click the time in your taskbar,
left click Adjust Date/time,
click Internet Time tab,
click Change Settings,
check the box for Synchronize with an Internet time server,
select any Server from the list except time.windows.com (it's usually not available),
click the Update now button to make sure it synchronizes.
No special tools or download required.
Thanks spanyard, ATC fixed my constant disconects ;)
found what causes time going out of sync for my windows, it was my mobo battery... almost dead

Thank you spanyard this did help some. My disconnects are less frequent. I will keep trying other methods along with time sync in hopes I can lessen them some more as I doubt total elimination is possible for me.
How do you run Darkfall repair?
